It’s been a few months since the release of L.A. Noire and while many have risen the ranks from a simple beat cop to a comfy desk in Vice, gamers may be feeling that something is missing from Rockstar’s title. Even with the release of recent DLC packs “Nicholson Electroplating” and “Reefer Madness,” the question remains: what else is in store for L.A. Noire?

Kotaku got a chance to talk with a Rockstar spokesperson yesterday on the subject, with them simply saying that the game “Isn’t completed yet.” Rockstar had previously said that to make their release date and to fit the game on its disc, they had to remove some cases and desk positions from the retail game, such as Burglary. Could that mean that there is more DLC on the way, stacked full of potentially missing media? A case worth solving indeed.

It’s a wonder if the unfortunate issues surfacing around developer Team Bondi will have any effect in delivering future content. With a full-scale investigation looking into the “questionable” work conditions, it could be that the statement “Isn’t completed yet,” is exactly how it sounds: the work hasn’t been finished.

It’s also possible that with the success of Red Dead Redemption’s Undead Nightmare release last November, the very same could happen with L.A. Noire as well. It could go a long way in delivering what was left out, yet as to what that could be is the question.

With Rockstar staying characteristically silent, it leaves us at Game Rant and you Ranters to fill in the blanks. What do you think will be the ‘next thing’ for the game: continuous DLC packs, one large expansion, or something we haven’t seen yet? What kinds of cases and challenges will players get to experience? Better yet, what would you prefer to see? Sound off with your comments and ideas below, and let us know what you’re thinking.

L.A. Noire is currently available for the Xbox 360 and PS3, with a PC release later this year. Read our L.A. Noire review.
