The Italian GameStop website reveals a release date and pricing information for the PlayStation 4 version of the critically acclaimed Rise of the Tomb Raider.

When Rise of the Tomb Raider was announced as a timed Xbox One exclusive a few years back, many Tomb Raider fans on PS4 were understandably upset. However, it appears as though PlayStation 4 owners can finally mark their calendars for when the critically acclaimed game will make its way to their platform of choice, as the Italian GameStop website has leaked its PS4 release date.

According to the Italian GameStop page for Rise of the Tomb Raider, the game will release for PS4 on November 10th, nearly a full year after its Xbox One debut. Besides a possible release date, the Rise of the Tomb Raider listing also shows the game's price, revealing that PS4 owners will be expected to pay $60 for it, even though it will be a year old by the time it finally comes to the system.

Selling the game at full price could be justified if Rise of the Tomb Raider on PS4 came with the well-received DLC like Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch, but it's not clear if it does at this point. We'll have to wait for Square Enix to reveal more about the PlayStation 4 version in an official capacity to know if anything is being added to make Rise of the Tomb Raider on PS4 a more enticing package.

By the time Rise of the Tomb Raider finally comes to PS4 on November 10th (assuming the Italian GameStop listing is accurate), one has to imagine that both the PC version of the game and the Xbox One version will be available at heavily discounted prices. It's not hard to find the game at much lower prices already, with the Amazon listing for the Xbox One version currently sitting at $33.99 at the time of this writing.

Black Friday deals will come just a couple of weeks after Rise of the Tomb Raider's PS4 launch as well, so hopefully retailers discount the game equally across all its platforms. If so, Black Friday could be a way for Tomb Raider fans on PS4 to pick up the newest game at a more reasonable price.

It will be interesting to see if the PS4 version of Rise of the Tomb Raider is able to outsell the Xbox One version despite its higher price point. After all, Rise of the Tomb Raider on PC outsold the Xbox One version not long after its release, and with PlayStation 4's larger install base, there's a good chance that it could also do better than the game did on Xbox. Time will tell, but if there's a large enough sales discrepancy, Square Enix may be hesitant about signing timed exclusivity deals in the future.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is available now for PC and Xbox One, and its PS4 release date is apparently November 10th.
