Though gamers are just now wading through the story of 1940s era crime in L.A. Noire, first hints at DLC have recently popped up as part of a midnight event ad listing. According to the listing, the first DLC case to be available for L.A. Noire will be titled the ‘Nicholson Electroplating Arson Case.’

Since Rockstar Games is much more focused on the retail release of L.A. Noire, the company is probably a ways off from confirming the existence of this DLC, but the company hasn’t shied away from the possibility of content releases later down the line.

Probably the biggest suggestion of DLC was in Rockstar’s defense of the Xbox 360 version spreading across three discs where they revealed that several desks — the various chapters in the game — were left out in order to trim the game’s length down.

Unfortunately, gamers who hoped to pick up the free code for this case have already missed out, as it was only available during select Best Buy midnight launch events. That shouldn’t be too big of a sting, however, when the game’s 20+ hours of content should keep them occupied for at least a day or two.

Still, knowing that more L.A. Noire content is on the way, especially considering the game’s fairly positive reviews, should convince gamers that this experience is more than worth the time and money investment.

Along with the ‘Nicholson Electroplating Arson Case,’ L.A. Noire should be receiving several more DLC releases that correspond to the various pre-order bonuses that were tied to specific retailers. When Rockstar does see fit as to make an announcement about L.A. Noire DLC, know that Game Rant will bring the news to you as soon as it breaks. For now, get out on the mean streets of Los Angeles and take down some criminals.

What are your early impressions of L.A. Noire? What type of cases would you like to see solved in future DLC?

L.A. Noire is out now for PS3 and Xbox 360.
