‘Resident Evil 6′ Pre-Order Exclusive is Perfect for Fans

Resident Evil 6 Pre Order Bonus

Much like today’s earlier news about Transformers: Fall of Cybertron‘s G1 Retro Pack we have yet another exciting pre-order for you, this one for Resident Evil 6. Unlike the Retro Pack, though, this pre-order exclusive nets the purchaser a physical item, and a pretty cool one at that.

Throughout the history of the Resident Evil franchise, both the video games and the feature films, there has been one consistent symbol representative of the evil entity overseeing it all, the Umbrella Corporation. Obviously Umbrella is only the name of a corporation and is in no way representative of actual umbrellas, yet that’s what pre-order exclusive Capcom has for any gamer willing to purchase the game from the Capcom Store.

This Umbrella Corporation…umbrella is designed exactly as you might expect, with the red and white color scheme of the associated corporation. It is a full size umbrella capable of blocking out those harmful UV rays, or even keeping a lumbering zombie at bay.

As was said before, the umbrella is a pre-order exclusive specific to the Capcom Store, and it is free of charge (no extra cost added to the game). Even better than that, it comes with a custom sleeve to carry it in (pictured below). Make sure to pre-order your copy of Resident Evil 6 soon, because not only is the game right around the corner, but supplies of the Umbrella umbrella are limited.

Along with the customized umbrella, gamers will also be betting a highly anticipated sequel, one that incorporates not one, but two fan-favorite characters. Yes, early looks at the game have shown a more action-focused experience, but hands-on time has shown some elements that stay true to the series’ roots. Let’s face it; if you’re a Resident Evil fan, you’re going to pick this game up.

Will you be pre-ordering Resident Evil 6 from the Capcom Store in order to get this special Umbrella umbrella? What other awesome items should they sell from the games?

Resident Evil 6 releases October 2, 2012 for the PS3 and Xbox 360.

I don’t believe I will. Honestly, I would have been fine with them just stopping at 5.

    • Now You know you wanted to see Leon’s grand return to the series.

      • I love Leon, but I simply cannot support Capcom.

        • I am not all that familiar with Capcom, so why not?

          • Oh boy, where to begin? This is the short and easy version (though there is an updated version now): http://guyism.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/capcommistakes.jpg

Essentially, the major problems with Capcom include killing off the Mega Man franchise (an obvious sore spot for me, considering Mega Man is what got me into gaming in the first place), dumbing down the Resident Evil franchise, charging for content that is already on the disc with their fighting games, over-flooding the fighting game market, and generally being an awful place for their employees. I say all this as someone who used to love this company.

They can still come back, but it’s probably going to require new management and a few long apologies.
