The release date for Red Dead Redemption is on the horizon.
Rockstar San Diego announced today that the game will be released in April 2010 for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. The exact release date isn’t official yet, but will be announced on December 1st to coincide with their next trailer video launch.
Red Dead Redemption is the spiritual successor to Red Dead Revolver, which was released in 2004 to face mixed reviews: it was either a love it or hate it game (it’s one of the few PS2 games still on my display rack -- take a guess which one I went with).
In the sequel’s story, you play as John Marston, a former outlaw who is sent across the American Frontiers in 1908 to restore order. Unlike the last game, Redemption is to have a ‘free-roaming, GTA style’ open world to explore. Saddle up!

I liked Gun more then the first Red Dead. That being said, I’ll certainly check out the new Red Dead.

This game can’t come fast enough… Original Red Dead was amazing. I remember playing multiplayer for hours with my buddies. Also GTA 4 is a great game and for sure one of my favorites of all time so hopefully this will live up to the hype and take a place next the greatest games of our time.
Yeah, a few of my buddies and I got super addicted to the Red Dead Revolver multiplayer – and the duels were intense, too.
I’ll definitely be giving this game a shot.
O ya. Some of the best 4 way multiplayer split screen since golden eye. SinglE player was pretty ok . put me down for pumped
