Poker Night at the Intventory - Team Fortress 2 Exclusives

Team Fortress 2 already has content seemingly appearing from nowhere. Valve doesn't even worry about that stuff anymore, they just get their community to create content for them instead. Still, it wouldn't be TF2 without more, more, more. Luckily Poker Night at the Inventory has similar thoughts, because it's including five (six if you preorder) exclusive TF2 items for gamers to unlock.

Preordering Poker Night at its currently low 10% off of $5.00 price will score The Heavy's green poker visor hat. Considering that hats sell on the Mann-Store for prices between $5 and $20, the preorder hat justifies the price of the game straight away! Of course, that's not all though. Here are the other five items you can unlock playing Poker Night:

  • The Enthusiast's Timepiece - Tycho's favorite timepiece (equippable by the Spy)
  • License to Maim - Max's Badge (equippable by all classes)
  • The Lugermorph - A second chance at Max's personal armament (equippable by the Scout and the Engineer)
  • The Iron Curtain - The Heavy's first love (equippable by the Heavy, obviously)
  • Dangeresque, Too? - Strong Bad's styling glasses (equippable by the Demoman)

Don't forget that this all comes with a game! Poker Night at the Inventory isn't your average poker game. It's a round of cards with a group of fellows that are bound to make any night interesting. Team Fortress 2's Heavy, Max from Sam & Max, Homestar Runner's Strong Bad and Tycho from Penny Arcade will each be partaking, and are fully voiced to boot. Just like a real round of poker, the game seems just as much about having fun with the gang rather than straight-up competition.

Typically, a poker game shouldn't be on anyone's radar. If you're into poker there are plenty of free gambling websites available online anyways. Poker Night at the Inventory looks like so much more than a poker game, it looks like a hell of an experience. Plus, it's only $5 ($4.50 if you preorder)! Also, considering that Valve is already offering some exciting treats like these Team Fortress 2 exclusives, it wouldn't be a stretch to think that there's more to come from this game. It's only single player, but who's to say whether or not that will change?

Have you put in your preorders yet, Ranters? Or are you not persuaded that this $5 masterpiece is for you, yet? What's it going to take, huh? What's it going to take!?

Poker Night at the Inventory is made by TellTale games and will be available sometime later this month for the PC and Mac.
