At this point in time, many fans are likely wondering how many more Pokemon really need to be introduced to the swelling population. The current number sits at a whopping 718 beasts, which is nearly five times the number that debuted in the original Pokemon Red and Blue. The Pokemon Company doesn't seem to have any plans to slow down production either, as it's just announced that a new Legendary by the name of Diancie will be making its debut in Pokemon X and Y.

According to the press release, the new monster will be a Fairy/Rock-type and it can't be obtained through normal circumstances in-game. Instead, players have been instructed to wait for details on an upcoming event that'll give them access to the creature through some means or another. The official description for the creature makes it sound rather magnificent too, which should appeal to trainers looking to defeat Pokemon X and Y's Elite Four utilizing a team bursting with adorable critters.

"Known to boast the greatest beauty in all the world, Diancie’s body glitters pink, captivating the hearts of many. During battle, Diancie can produce a great volume of diamonds instantaneously by compressing air between its hands. It uses these diamonds to attack enemies and protect itself."

Diancie was actually previously leaked by hackers that explored code in Pokemon X and Y, along with a handful of other mythical Pokemon, but it has only just now been confirmed as a legitimate beast by The Pokemon Company. There are still other monsters that have yet to be revealed and their inclusion should be confirmed at some point in the coming months.

It's hard to say when The Pokemon Company will announce details pertaining to how to catch the Legendary, so stay tuned to Game Rant for details as soon as they hit.

Will you be adding Diance to your team, Ranters?
