Pokemon Scarlet and Violet bring players another great adventure, and thanks to Koraidon and Miraidon, gamers have a new way to traverse the landscape. As fun as it is to meet new characters and explore Paldea, it is also a blast to slow things down and peruse the detailed Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Pokedex. If players do so, they will learn a lot about the Pokemon they encounter, including Tinkaton, the cute yet cruel critter.

Tinkaton's evolutionary line may contain the biggest bullies of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. These cute creatures attack other Pokemon to get their iron, and when they've finally built their hammers, they use them to attack innocent victims. Although Tinkaton is mean, it is a good team member to have.

Tinkatink, Tinkatuff, and Tinkaton - The Bullies of Pokemon

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet introduce several new monsters that can be found throughout Paldea. This includes the Pikachu clone Pawmi and the morbid ghost dog Greavard. Some Pokemon are quite cute, but their looks can be very deceiving. Such is the case for Tinkatink and its evolved forms, Tinkatuff and Tinkaton. On the surface, Tinkatink is a small, pink Fairy/Steel Pokemon that wields an adorable hammer. When it evolves into Tinkatuff and eventually Tinkaton, it becomes a bit bigger, and its hammer also grows considerably, but it doesn't lose any of its cuteness.

A read of its Pokedex reveals that this Pokemon doesn't get along with others much. As Trainers learn, Tinkatink makes its hammer using iron scraps its steals from Pokemon with metal diets. It only gets meaner as it evolves. According to the Pokedex, Tinkatuff is known to attack groups of Pawniard and Bisharp. It does this to collect more metal to make its hammer even bigger. Dismayingly, the hammer is used for nothing good. When the Pokemon evolves into Tinkaton, it grabs rocks and uses its massive hammer to strike them into the sky and knock unsuspecting Corviknight in flight. No reason is given for this behavior, leaving gamers to conclude that the Pokemon does this for sport.

Tinkaton's evolutionary line isn't the only bullies that players will find in Pokemon, however. Plenty of Ghost-Type Pokemon make a hobby of playing pranks and terrifying humans. Gengar is infamous for this, and in Gen 1, the Pokedex reveals that it likes to mimic people's shadows and laugh at their fright. This is also the case for Misdreavus, a Pokemon that is said to yank people's hair to see their reaction and startle people at night.

Tinkaton is the kind of bully Trainers will want on their side, if only due to the Pokemon's Typing. The Fairy/Steel Dual-Typing is competitively favorable, as having the Steel secondary typing makes it immune to Poison which would usually be debilitating due to its Fairy Typing. Tinkaton is also able to put its hammer to good use, as it is the only critter that can use the move Gigaton Hammer. With a base power of 160, this move can easily turn the tides of a battle.
