While everyone voices their concerns about what is wrong with Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, one player brings a hilarious flaw about the main character to the table, and it has little to do with their design. Becoming the second-biggest Pokemon launch of all-time, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is currently one of the highest-grossing games of 2022.

Like any other game, however, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet isn't immune to criticism, and it's certainly had its fair share of ups and downs. While some players are currently getting lost in the world of Paldea, capturing every new regional Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, one player in particular can't get past a specific flaw.

Reddit user Horrifried pointed out in a recent post that there's one thing most players seem to be either missing or overlooking when it comes to the game's main character. At the beginning of the adventure, the player is given a Rotom Phone that also comes with changeable cases, and it appears that all calls made are done over speaker, regardless of where the player may be. This is evident by the calls constantly being overheard by characters passing by, as they make mention of the caller or what was said as they enter the scene. As Horrifried states, it's a clear lack of regard and respect for those in the surrounding area, and judging by the interaction on the post after just 48 hours, the sentiment seems to be agreed upon.

In two days, the post has surpassed 6,000 upvotes and over 400 comments, with the majority of posters agreeing and pointing out that it's something that either bothers them or makes them laugh. One player points out the irony of discovering the post shortly after finishing a cutscene in which the main character is told to keep their voice down, calling the Rotom Phone a canon for its call volume. It's a nice break from reality when it comes to all the glitches plaguing Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, but one has to wonder if the main character is either oblivious to his actions or just doesn't seem to mind who or what hears their calls.

In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Paldea is a beautiful region full of gorgeous landscapes, and it's easy to get lost in the scenery and endless flow of Pokemon appearing. As much can be said for the game's main character, who is often finding himself taking calls and discussing important matters without a care in the world. The only real concern for the newest protagonist may not be about talking too loudly, but perhaps their Rotom Phone's security function, or lack thereof.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available now on Nintendo Switch.
