The Pokemon Company just rolled out a new Pokemon Presents live stream this week that went over various updates coming to a couple of Pokemon titles, like Pokemon Cafe ReMix and Pokemon GO. The big part of the presentation however, and what most fans were looking forward to, was the new information for Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet, the next generation of mainline titles in the series, and the first to be truly open-world.

For the fans that are really excited to battle against new gym leaders, ride on their legendary Pokemon like motorcycles, and explore with their friends, it might be a good decision to pre-order the game, especially since there are a couple of preorder bonuses to get, including a special Pikachu that can Terastallize into a Flying-type.

Let's get into all the preorder bonuses that The Pokemon Company and Game Freak are offering for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Preorder Bonuses

A Flying Tera Type Pikachu in Scarlet & Violet

Special Pikachu

If anyone has watched the newest trailer for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, then they probably noticed the special Tera-Flying type version of Pikachu, who sports colored balloons.

By purchasing the game early, either physically or digitally, players will get the Pikachu in-game via the Mystery Gift feature. The gift wont be able to be claimed until players get through the first hour or so of the main story. It's worth noting that players will only have until February 28, 2023, to redeem the Pikachu.

Adventure Set

The other preorder bonus for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is the Adventure Set; however, this one is only available for those that download the digital version of either game by February 28. Players will get a serial code that gives out the following items:

  • Potion ×10
  • Full Heal ×5
  • Revive ×3
  • Ether ×3
  • Rare Candy ×1
  • Nugget ×1

Double-Pack Bonus

And last but not least, Pokemon fans can get 200 Poke Balls by purchasing the Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet Double Pack. Players will get one code for each game, and each code gifts 100 Poke Balls.

Some new Pokemon exclusive to the Paldea region were also announced during the Pokemon Presents. Fidough is a puppy Pokemon that looks like uncooked bread; and then there's Cetitan, the Tera Whale Pokemon that lives around the snowy areas of the region.

Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet launch for the Nintendo Switch on November 18, 2022.
