It’s been over a month since Game Freak released a trailer or any official information for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, and in that time, many rumors and leaks have appeared online. Some of them may be false, but some of them came from reliable sources. For example, the fact that Fuecoco’s final form has a bird made of fire sitting on its head was confirmed by Khu, a seemingly now-retired but always-reliable leaker in the community.

All rumors and leaks should come with a grain of salt, but if it proves true, the latest Pokemon Scarlet and Violet regional Tauros rumor could be exciting for fans. Many have believed that Tauros would get a new regional form because of its association with Spain, but it seems it could technically get three.

According to recent leaks, the Japanese name/English translation for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s region is Paldea. It’s unknown if that’ll be its exact name in English regions, but it seems Paldea is split into three distinct zones. This is noteworthy because it seems Paldean Tauros will have three different forms. To be clear, it’s one Pokemon, but its appearance/type changes depending on which zone someone catches them in.

In this way, it’s sort of like Floette’s differently colored flowers and Rotom’s different forms based on appliances. It seems this regional Tauros’ appearance and type will depend on the region it is caught in. Notably, one of these Tauros is said to be a pure Fighting type, while the other two are unknown dual-types. This makes Tauros a fascinating proposition, and depending on the exact designs/types of these Tauros forms, it could prove to be one of the most popular regional Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet.

After all, fans have been wanting a special regional form for Tauros for some time now. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is rumored to feature several new forms, including regional forms, convergent species, ancient forms, future forms, and more, but how true this exactly is remains to be seen. Another rumor is that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s gimmick is based on time and somehow boosts certain move types in battle.

There are a lot of interesting rumors and leaks out there about Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, but how many prove true remains to be seen. However, fingers crossed that this regional Tauros rumor does get confirmed by Game Freak.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet release on November 18.
