Of all of the types that have been introduced in the Pokemon series, Grass-types seem to be overlooked a lot more often than most. In addition to the type's numerous weaknesses, there is also the issue of many Grass-types simply not having the appropriate stats for casual or competitive play.

Amidst all of their flaws, however, there is one redeeming factor for a lot of Grass-type Pokemon: their design. It is beyond any doubt that Grass-types have some of the most gorgeous designs the series has ever produced. Out of all of them, though, only a handful of them stand out as Pokemon's most beautiful Grass-types.

10 Leafeon

Obtaining Leafeon by evolving an Eevee is certainly no simple task, but the payoff is definitely worth it once Eevee finally evolves. Leafeon may have a simple design, but the small details, namely its tail and head sprout, make Leafeon gracefully stand out among the numerous Grass-type Pokemon.

Battle-wise, Leafeon can have the Chlorophyll ability, which boosts the Pokemon's speed in the sunshine. A known strategy for those who use Leafeon is to set up Swords Dance in the sunshine before attacking with Leaf Blade or another physical Grass-type move.

9 Meganium

Meganium may be one of the most underwhelming Grass-type starters, but the details of its design make it one of the more beautiful Grass-type Pokemon. In this case, the most significant detail would be Meganium's flower, which is said to release an aromatic fragrance that can soothe any aggression in humans or Pokemon.

As a testament to this Pokemon's beauty, there is an episode in the anime in which Meganium is the love interest of both Ash's Grovyle and a wild Tropius. Although Meganium rejected Grovyle in favor of Tropius, there is no denying that Grovyle's feelings were understandable.

8 Roserade

Pokemon Roserade

The evolved form of Roselia, Roserade is widely considered to be one of Sinnoh's best Grass-type Pokemon. Much of this, of course, is due to its design. Its namesake is very well reflected in both the roses on its arms and its makeshift masquerade mask.

Roserade, alongside Leafeon, is also one of the few Grass-type Pokemon that is optimal for competitive play due to its Special Attack and Speed stats. Though its Pokedex entry states that it can also attack with hidden poisonous whips, these whips have yet to be seen.

7 Bellossom

Pokemon Bellossom

Instantly recognizable by its hula-dancer-like design, Bellossom is an underrated, wonderful-looking Grass-type Pokemon. It may come off as quite a shock upon learning that it evolves from Gloom, a Pokemon that is the polar opposite of Bellossom in both design and personality.

Befitting its design, it is said that Bellossom can often be found in warm, tropical areas, where it can be seen singing and dancing. The reason for its dancing is simple: to celebrate the end of any weather that is not sunny, such as storms and torrential downpours.

6 Cherrim (Sunshine Form)

While Cherrim's Overcast Form is its most common, its Sunshine Form is a sight to behold. Usually found in grassy areas, such as the Floaroma Meadow or the Eterna Forest, Cherrim will always assume its Sunshine Form if it is in the vicinity of bright sunshine.

Once Cherrim changes forms, it will assume a more proactive and upbeat demeanor instead of the quiet personality seen in its Overcast Form. As a Pokemon that can be found using Honey, Cherrim can emit a nice fragrance from its petals, which is said to attract all sorts of Bug-type Pokemon.

5 Steenee

It is no surprise that Steenee's humanoid fruit design is extremely beautiful. After all, it is the evolved form of the already adorable Bounsweet. Unlike its pre-evolution, though, Steenee is far more assertive, using its legs to fend off Corvisquire and other predators.

Like the rest of its evolutionary line, Steenee is based on the mangosteen, a fruit that is known to grow in Southeast Asia. Although the fruit itself may look unappealing to some, that is just all the more reason to appreciate Steenee, as it makes an unappealing fruit look wonderful.

4 Celebi

Who would have thought that a forest guardian could look so lovely? Celebi's fairy-like appearance, which may make the case for it being a Fairy-type instead of a Psychic-type, looks as though it came straight out of a painting! Almost exclusively found in forests, Celebi's abilities are also just as beautiful as its design.

It can restore dead plants and resurrect other Celebi. Much like Meganium, Celebi's popularity, much of which is because of its design, cemented it as the star of its own movie, in which it is pursued relentlessly by hunters and forest predators.

3 Serperior

Easily one of the noblest Grass-type Pokemon out there, it is safe to say that Serperior has the best design out of the Unova starter trio. It may lose its arms once it evolves from Servine, but it more than makes up for it with its imposing glare and Contrary hidden ability.

Serperior's Pokedex entry in Pokemon Black states that it can absorb solar power to use it for itself. Even without solar power, though, Serperior is still a positively radiant Pokemon that exudes a noble atmosphere wherever it goes.

2 Hisuian Lilligant

Unovan Lilligant was already a beauty in its own right, but Hisuian Lilligant is a different story altogether. In its Hisuian form, Lilligant is the perfect blend of elegance and combat readiness, the latter of which is reflected in its newly acquired Fighting-type.

Even in the Hisui region, Lilligant is one of only ten Pokemon to have been blessed by none other than the God of all Pokemon: Arceus. It even has its own signature move, Victory Dance, which raises its Attack and Defense and increases the amount of damage inflicted by its attacks.

1 Lurantis

Given the question of which Grass-type Pokemon is the most beautiful, there is no doubt that many fans would point to Lurantis. Their feelings are supported by none other than Lurantis' Pokedex entry. In Pokemon Ultra Moon, Lurantis is said to be "the most glamorous Grass Pokemon" based on appearance alone.

In addition to its beauty, Lurantis is also deceptively strong, with its sickle-like arms said to be able to cleave metal in half. It also appears as one of Akala Island's three Totem Pokemon in Pokemon Sun and Moon, boasting a high-Speed stat and its signature move Solar Blade.
