Beta testing for the ambitious augmented reality mobile game Pokemon GO concludes, and fans speculate as to when the game will have its full release in July.

As of yesterday, Pokemon GO has finished its beta testing period, and now Pokemon fans are patiently waiting to hear when the full game will launch. So far, developer Niantic, The Pokemon Company, and Nintendo are all keeping tight-lipped on the matter, but in the meantime, fans have developed some interesting theories on when Pokemon GO will finally be available to the masses.

Some theories state that Pokemon GO will have a surprise launch on iOS and Android devices as soon as this weekend. Proponents of this theory point to the National Pokemon Tournament taking place this weekend in the United States as evidence of a possible Pokemon GO launch, or at the very least, a release date announcement.

Other theorists believe Pokemon GO will launch a little bit later in the month, on July 11th. July 11th will mark the one year anniversary of Nintendo president Satoru Iwata's tragic passing, and so the idea is Pokemon GO will release that day to honor Iwata's life. This would be somewhat fitting, as Iwata is the one that started Nintendo's push into the mobile market, and Pokemon GO is arguably the biggest mobile project from Nintendo to date, but it is unlikely.

If Pokemon GO isn't released this weekend or July 11th, another popular theory suggests that the game will launch somewhere between July 20th and July 25th, to coincide with the annual San Diego Comic Con. The San Diego Comic Con is one of the biggest entertainment events of the year, and Nintendo could generate significant buzz for Pokemon GO if the game's release is announced at SDCC.

Nintendo has said that Pokemon GO will launch by the end of July, so if it isn't available by the time Comic Con rolls around, perhaps it won't release until July 31st. Some fans may be annoyed if Pokemon GO releases on the last day of the month, but waiting that long to launch could provide the developers some additional time to incorporate beta feedback in a meaningful capacity.

Until one of the companies involved in the development of Pokemon GO makes an official release date announcement, all fans can do is speculate and guess as to when it will be available. There's some merit behind all the prevalent fan theories that have appeared online so far, but Pokemon GO fans will have to wait a little while longer to find out for sure when the ambitious augmented reality game will have its proper release.

Pokemon GO will be available this month for Android and iOS mobile devices.
