‘Pokedex 3D Pro’ & ‘Pokemon Dream Radar’ Catch Some Release Dates

Pokemon 3DS Release Date

Odds are that anyone who enjoys the Pokemon series is eagerly anticipating the release of Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2. Both blockbuster sequels are scheduled to release in North America later this October, but there are two other games from the same franchise that may have been overshadowed by the set of DS exclusives. These games are none other than Pokedex 3D Pro and Pokemon Dream Radar, and Nintendo has finally announced the two separate dates fans will be able to download them on their 3DS.

Pokemon Dream Radar will be the first game available to wannabe Pokemon Masters, launching alongside Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 on October 7th. It’s convenient that Dream Radar releases alongside the two big retail-bound items too, because the game will interact with both versions. Players that capture creatures within the download, can transfer them onto their copy of either Black 2 or White 2. While this ability is exclusive to the 3DS, it will not be in 3D for some reason. Fortunately, it will make use of the 3DS’ gyroscopic capabilities, so at least it’ll be using one of the handheld’s exclusive features…

The second Pokemon-related download is more of an app than an actual game. Pokedex 3D Pro is an enhanced version of the currently available Pokedex 3D, with an upscaled roster of Pocket Monsters. 640 of the adorable little monsters can be obtained in the revamped Pokedex, and there’s even a new quiz feature that gamers can use to test their Pokemon knowledge. Gamers can catch Pokedex 3D Pro on November 8th.

Nintendo also announced that the original Pokedex 3D will be removed from the Nintendo eShop on October 1st, so fans who have yet to download the free companion app for the original Black and White may wish to do so sooner rather than later.

Neither of these downloads contain the type of Pokemon content that 3DS owners have been waiting for, but they’ll help ease the pain of waiting for a little while. In the meantime, fans can look forward to Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 when they hit retailers this October 7th.

  1. Thanks for the update, I wondered when those two downloads would be available. Also, you guys are doing a ton of articles these last two days compared to usual or am I just missing something?

  2. Dream Radar sounds pretty cool! I’m pretty excited about BW2 already and that’s one more thing to look forward to. :D
I wonder how much they cost though? The game costs like 40 dollars, so I hope Dream Radar would just be around 5 or so. And what about 3D Pro?! Hahaha.
