In less than a month, fighting game enthusiasts will finally be able to get their hands on the final version of PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. Finally, PlayStation fans will be able to see which of their favorite Sony-owned mascots, and a few recognizable third-party characters, would win in an all out fight for supremacy. Sony is obviously excited for the title's upcoming release too, and they've released a brand new live-action ad for the game that's similar to the much-loved 'Michael' commercial. Heck, it even stars the same hostess.

Sony has been leading up to this live-action crossover for weeks with a series of teasers that hinted at something related to PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, and those suspicions have proven to be accurate. Kratos, Nathan Drake, Cole MacGrath, and Sackboy are all present in the ad, but there's a number of items laying about several scenes that allude to the presence of other characters that have already been confirmed for the actual game. The footage is only a minute and 56 seconds long, but it does a good job at showing off why gamers should be excited to do battle with classic PlayStation characters.

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Ad

Despite the initial launch roster for Battle Royale only featuring 20 characters, the possibility of downloadable characters (such as Abe from Oddworld) are reassuring for those hoping that Sony would continue to support the title well after launch. The ongoing public beta for All-Stars is giving fans a small taste of what they can look forward to this November, and a number of the Game Rant staff have been thoroughly enjoying the time they've spent kicking the game's tires — and online opponents.

This live-action ad is a cool way of doing something nice for the fans, but it doesn't come close to rivalling the previously mentioned 'Michael' commercial that Sony released last year as part of their Long Live Play campaign. Regardless, it's a solid ad that'll strike a chord with the intended fan base.

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale will be smashing onto the PS3 and Vita on November 20th.
