On November 15th, 2013, Sony's PlayStation 4 launched in North America to much fanfare. The system's initially lower price point when compared to its competition, along with its promise of allowing gamers to play used games, helped propel it to strong sales right out of the gate, and not much has changed since.

Two years after its launch, the PS4 console has built up quite an impressive library, and while its lineup of full-fledged exclusives is admittedly sparse, Sony has made up for that with smart third-party partnerships, and by remastering some of the PS3's most celebrated titles. Still, exclusives have helped sell consoles.

In celebration of the PS4's two year anniversary, Game Rant has compiled what we believe to be the best console exclusives available for the system so far. For those that have yet to upgrade from a PS3 to a PS4, these five games offer the best incentive to do so.

Bloodborne

Releasing earlier this year to critical acclaim, Bloodborne is the PlayStation 4's highest rated exclusive game to date. The game offers nuanced combat and features a brutal difficulty curve, echoing elements that many gamers enjoyed about its sister series, Dark Souls. For now, the only way for Dark Souls enthusiasts to enjoy Bloodborne is by playing it on the PS4, making it one of the best reasons to purchase the console.

Infamous: Second Son

In the weeks leading up to its release, Infamous: Second Son was possibly the most hyped PS4 exclusive title. Second Son successfully brought Sucker Punch's superhero franchise to the new generation of consoles, boasting plenty of fast-paced action and gorgeous visuals that utilized the PlayStation 4's powerful hardware well. Fans should also be sure to check out the Infamous: First Light standalone expansion for the game, which follows side character "Fetch", and offers many more hours of gameplay.

Rocket League

Even though it's also available on PC (but not available on the Xbox One), Rocket League is nevertheless one of the PlayStation 4's strongest titles. The game became somewhat of a phenomenon this past summer, thanks in no small part to the fact that it debuted on the PS4 as a free PlayStation Plus game in JulyRocket League's fast-paced, easy to learn - but hard to master - gameplay has resulted in a dedicated community of players that have helped the game become one of 2015's surprise hits.

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection

Even for those that already enjoyed Nathan Drake's adventures on the PlayStation 3, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is worth a look. It collects the first three games in the series on one disc with improved graphics like most remasters, but doesn't stop there. The Nathan Drake Collection features brand new game modes, and also guarantees access to the Uncharted 4 multiplayer beta, so anyone that wants to test out Uncharted 4 before launch should consider picking up a PS4 and The Nathan Drake Collection by December 4th.

Until Dawn

Beginning life as a PlayStation Move title and then going through a somewhat tumultuous development cycle, many expected Until Dawn to flop. On the contrary, the game released to decent praise, and managed to be a surprise financial success for Sony. With its choice-driven narrative and slasher movie homages galore, Until Dawn is one of the more unique games in the PS4's lineup, and it's one game that horror fans can only experience on the PlayStation 4.

As illustrated by this list, the PS4 already has a decent library of console exclusives, which is helping it lead the eighth generation console sales race. Even so, it seems as though its best days are definitely ahead of it, as 2016 will see the release of highly anticipated games such as Uncharted 4: A Thief's Endthe Ratchet & Clank reboot, and the very intriguing new exclusive game from the creators of KillzoneHorizon: Zero Dawn.
