Finally, after two years of work, PGA Tour 2K23 is here, with two deluxe digital versions debuting on October 11 and the regular console releases hitting stores on October 14. Much like with their WWE franchise, 2K decided to take a year off making PGA Tour games to ensure that the next game would be better quality. Clearly, the staff at HB Studios haven't been slacking off since the release of PGA Tour 2K21, as the Canadian studio has added a slew of additional options, from shot types to game modes, to their golf video game franchise.

Even compared to the previous game in the series, it's impossible to argue that this isn't the best golf game in terms of gameplay. Improvements to the user interface and loading speeds in the Course Designer make it better than ever, and the new MyPlayer archetypes enable the player to tailor their game to their skills and limitations (especially on Xbox Series X). Considering how much simpler it is to pick up and play PGA Tour 2K23 with the 3-Click Swing (which will be discussed later), games like Mario Golf: Super Rush are rendered mostly obsolete.

5 Use Virtual Currency To Upgrade Clubs

Even though virtual currency (VC) isn't as pervasive and game-breaking as it is in NBA 2K games, it's already getting there. Within the game, the cool new cosmetics that a player can get are especially the ones they pay for (and the new season pass levels up painfully slowly if the player doesn't buy the premium track).

The most striking element of VC is its use in upgrading equipment. The gamer can't simply purchase great clubs and stats. It's not the same as it is in NBA 2K, where the player can essentially buy their way to the top of the game. However, players should consider giving their clubs a modest statistical advantage by investing in superior fittings.

4 Include Backspin In Your Arsenal

Backspin, as the name suggests, is a type of spin that players can use to make the ball go backward. This may be accomplished with either an overhand or an underhand stroke.

There are several reasons why using Backspin is critical. Backspin may be used to get the ball to stop swiftly on the green, which is important for making eagle and birdie putts. It may also cause the ball to travel a shorter distance, which is useful when shooting against the wind. Additionally, Backspin may cause the ball to bend further, which can aid in avoiding trees and other objects.

3 Check Statistics

Statistics & Records in PGA Tour 2K23

Examining statistics in PGA Tour 2K23 isn't a simple process, but players should always know how to check this data whenever they're curious about a specific detail.

After the player has launched the game, they should access the main menu on their Xbox, PlayStation, or PC and hit the Menu button on their controller. Thereafter, the Options Menu will appear. If they hit RT or R2, they'll get the statistics panel. After clicking on Statistics & Records, they will be able to examine their profile's history, records, and statistics.

2 Experience The Game With Topgolf

Topgolf in PGA Tour 2K23

Topgolf is a natural fit as a partner for PGA Tour 2K23, and the mode it adds is great for social play and getting used to various clubs with pals. The game can be played on a Topgolf range, which is a driving range with targets; the more away the targets, the higher the gamer's score. However, the game will also ask the player to hit certain targets for additional points.

The Topgolf mode in PGA Tour 2K23 is the most realistic representation of the sport available. Play against other people in one of 80 physical venues all designed to seem like the original Las Vegas venue. In a round of golf, the gamer will get 10 shots at various objectives throughout the course. It's important to note, however, that not all grades are created equal. Furthermore, the points are awarded depending on the target's closeness to the point's base as well as the distance.

1 Master The New Swing System

One of the most significant additions in PGA Tour 2K23 is the new swing system. Those who prefer the classic analog swing stick will be able to stick with it, but the game will also have the option of a new 3-click swing system. According to the developers at HB Studios, this new feature is much more precise.

Using the new system, players will be able to hold down X (on PlayStation) or A (if the player is on Xbox) and time its release close to the power circle. Then, press the button to determine the swing path. Finally, press it again to determine whether it will be an open or a closed clubface. Practice makes perfect, so players should set aside some to improve their technique.

PGA Tour 2K23 is available now on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
