The Order: 1886 stole the show at last December's PlayStation Experience. While most booths at Sony's Las Vegas-based expo only had a short wait, attendees stood in line for over three hours for a shot at The Order: 1886's twenty minute demo. Other games (especially No Man's Sky) might have gotten a bigger promotional push, but the chatter on the show flow was all The Order, all the time.

The anticipation isn't surprising. PlayStation fans have been waiting a long time for The Order: 1886, and last year's delay only made things that much worse. Well, that wait is almost over: according to developer Ready at Dawn, The Order: 1886 has gone gold, in advance of its February 20 release date. To celebrate the occasion, Ready at Dawn released a new teaser trailer, a trophy list, and a few details regarding The Order's pre-order DLC offerings.

The new trailer combines gameplay footage with some player testimonials filmed at the PlayStation Experience. There's not a lot of new information - most of the in-game footage showcases the same airship level that was featured in last month's trailer, while the fans' reactions are positive but not incredibly articulate. Interestingly, while The Order's stunning graphics and cinematic storytelling earn a lot of praise, players don't talk as much about the gameplay itself (although the weapon selection sounds fairly popular).

The trailer also pushes the game's pre-order DLC, which comes in two varieties: The King's Arsenal Pack and the Knight's Endurance Pack. Anyone who pre-orders The Order: 1886 will get the King's Arsenal, which allows the main character, Galahad, to change into a Red Knight and Black Knight uniform, and gives him a grenade-launching Arsonist Rifle and a lightning-spewing Arc Rifle Prototype to play with.

The GameStop-exclusive Knight's Endurance Pack is more substantial, and includes a number of potentially game-breaking upgrades. In addition to a special Desert Khaki Infiltration Field Uniform, the Knight's Endurance Pack gives players unlimited Blackwater, which is used for healing, and regenerating Blacksight, which fuels the game's bullet-time mode. Players who pre-order at GameStop will get both DLC packs; the King's Arsenal DLC isn't retailer exclusive.

Finally, The Order: 1886's trophies have been unveiled as well. They're listed below. As always, beware of mild spoilers.

  • Highly Volatile: Detonate 10 powder kegs.
  • Discombobulated: Stun an enemy 30 times with the M2 ‘Falchion.'
  • Brilliant!: Shoot an airborne grenade during Blacksight.
  • Power of Observation: Inspect all objects.

  • A Knight No More: Complete the game (any difficulty).
  • The Grail: Collect all trophies.

There's nothing too unusual there (the inclusion of science weapons being the one notable exception), and it sounds like The Order: 1886 will involve a lot of killing, and many, many explosions. Gamers will have a chance to find if that's true in just over a month; after all this time, The Order: 1886 is finally on its way.

The Order: 1886 hits store shelves and the PlayStation Store on February 20, 2015. It is a PlayStation 4 exclusive.
