There is no shortage of villains in One Piece, but very few of them have made as big of an impact on the series as Blackbeard. He started his journey as an apprentice on Whitebeard's ship. Blackbeard bided his time and eventually left the crew, and managed to earn the position of a Shichibukai.

So far, Blackbeard has committed various heinous acts, and he shows no remorse for his actions. With that in mind, let's take a look at the evilest deeds Blackbeard has committed in One Piece.

8 Killed Thatch

Blackbeard waited on Whitebeard's crew to get his hands on the Yami Yami no Mi. He waited for years to find the devil fruit, but ultimately Thatch managed to locate it first. Blackbeard was distraught, and there was no way that he would let Thatch ruin his goal.

Therefore, Blackbeard did what no one else dared to do on Whitebeard's ship: he murdered Thatch and broke the iron rule by killing one of his fellow crewmates. After killing Thatch, Blackbeard left the crew and formed the Blackbeard Pirates.

7 Captured Ace

So, the Strongest Man in the World along with the rest of his crew made their way to the Marine headquarters. Sadly, they could not prevent Ace from dying.

After Ace's death, the Blackbeard Pirates arrived at Marineford. Blackbeard's presence filled Whitebeard with anger and the latter started to beat him. After withstanding a fury of attacks, Blackbeard decided to hit back, and he shot the Yonko countless times, which led to Whitebeard's death. To add insult to injury, Blackbeard also stole Whitebeard's devil fruit.

After the Summit War was over, Blackbeard once again decided to make a deal with the Navy, and this time he captured Bonney and asked for Navy ships in exchange.

It is unclear why the World Government wanted Bonney, but this was another demonstration nature of Blackbeard and his ruthless nature.

3 Destroyed Marineford

However, Blackbeard had other plans and he engaged the remnants of the Whitebeard Pirates in a battle. This war was known as the Payback War, and it resulted in defeat for Whitebeard Pirates, and it enabled Blackbeard to become the new Yonko.
