After having missed the golden opportunity of launching alongside the 3DS console, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D is finally set to release next month. Though the game features new modes and updated graphics, it still preserves all of the magic moments gamers remember way back on their N64.

To reiterate that point, a new trailer has been released (albeit a Japanese one) that shows off many of the iconic scenes from the game. Unfortunately this trailer, like those before it, is rendered in 2D so the actual 3D tech is not on display here.

What is on display is just how smooth the frame rate is in this 3D update of Ocarina of Time. When developer Grezzo Entertainment began work on the title, many figured that there might be some of that preservation lost without Nintendo.

Luckily, everything seems to be running fine, and Grezzo has shown that they are well and capable of delivering an experience that seasoned veterans will want to revisit, and not just a carbon copy.

If you are, however, looking forward to checking out Ocarina of Time for the first time on your 3DS, we highly recommend you avoid this trailer as it does spoil some of the game’s greatest moments. But if you are just looking for Ocarina of Time in all of its nostalgic glory, then check out the trailer below:

Probably the most anticipated title on the 3DS to date, Ocarina of Time 3D was bound to be in short supply, even without Nintendo decreasing retailer shipments. The title has so many fans, and so many different ways to take the adventure, that a large number of gamers might pick up a 3DS just to experience Link’s quest once again.

Is Ocarina of Time 3D the game that will convince you to pick up a 3DS? Which Ocarina of Time iconic moments is your particular favorite?

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D releases June 19, 2011 for the Nintendo 3DS.
