The Nintendo Ambassador program has already given early adopters of the Nintendo 3DS 10 free NES games, and while it’s great to play through those classic titles that some 3DS owners may have missed out on, everyone has been waiting for the day that Nintendo finally gave away the 10 free Game Boy Advance games that were promised to them.
There was some confusion regarding whether or not the GBA classics would be releasing this year, but Nintendo issued a statement not that long ago that assured rabid fans that they would be receiving the games by the end of this year. All ten of the games are now available, and it’s a safe bet to assume that 3DS owners won’t be disappointed.
All ten of the GBA classics are available right now, and although the process gamers will have to go through may seem mildly tedious, the reward is definitely worth the minor amount of effort. Nintendo Ambassadors can download the following GBA games on their system right now:
- The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap
- Yoshi’s Island: Super Mario Advance 3
- Mario Kart: Super Circuit
- Mario vs. Donkey Kong
- Wario Ware Inc.: Mega Microgame$
- Wario Land 4
- Metroid Fusion
- Kirby & The Amazing Mirror
- Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones
- F-Zero: Maximum Velocity
To download the Game Boy Advance games, all Ambassadors of the Nintendo variety have to do is is go into their download history on the eShop, and the titles listed above will appear. It’s then a very simple process of simply hitting the re-download tab, and waiting for each game to download. Once the download is finished, simply navigate to the home menu and the game is yours.
All ten of these GBA games are sure to provide gamers with countless hours of enjoyment, but it should be noted that the addition of a Pokemon title certainly wouldn’t have hurt. Still, it’s hard to complain when all of these games are being given to you for absolutely nothing.
