It’s been an exciting week for Call of Duty fans, with Treyarch releasing multiple hints and teasers about Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. Today, the developer shared a new teaser trailer that gave fans a taste of the game’s gritty, near-apocalyptic action, along with a little bit of gameplay. Based on the information provided, it looks like players will once again enjoy a future-set storyline riddled with plenty of high-tech weapons and gadgets. It’s enough to make any Call of Duty or FPS fan salivate.
This week was also a little controversial, as Valve decided to allow gamers and independent developers to sell their video game mods on Steam, rather than offering them for free. While the concept is intriguing in principle, many modders have concerns and frustrations with the way Valve has implemented the idea. However, as it’s a new program, we may see Valve make adjustments to the current structure based on feedback from modders. It’ll also be interesting to see how this affects the modding community and if it helps motivate or dissuade new mods.

'LEGO Dimensions' Pricing and Sets Revealed
After the success of toys-to-life games like Disney Infinity, Skylanders, and the Amiibo figures, it’s no surprise LEGO is looking to enter the market with their own gaming toys, dubbed LEGO Dimensions. Along with the game, LEGO is offering 17 different character packs at launch. Those who are hoping to pick them all up will need to shell out a little over $330.
The toys-to-life craze doesn’t seem to be going away anytime soon, which is good for companies like LEGO who already have a strong hold in the gaming market. It’ll be interesting to see if they expand their Dimensions toys into other future LEGO games, besides any additional Dimensions sequels.
LEGO Dimensions is set to release September 28, 2015 for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.

New PlayStation Vita Model May Coming Soon
It looks like a new PlayStation Vita model may be coming out soon, as a new trademark for the unit has been filed in Japan. The trademark shows a model very similar to the most recent PlayStation Vita, with a few additions, including an HDMI port.
The introduction of a new Vita is unsurprising as Sony has stated they are planning to change the way gamers use the device. Rather than focusing on third-party games for the device, Sony hopes to focus on the handheld's PS4 Remote Play and the PlayStation Now options. That being said, Vita will still have dedicated third-party games, though owners may find it’s better suited for other uses in the future.

'King's Quest' Trailer Features Some Brief Gameplay

Developer The Odd Gentlemen released a behind-the-scenes trailer this week sharing some details about their participation in creating the upcoming King’s Quest. In addition to highlighting the team’s excitement and work on the game, the trailer provides a few snippets of gameplay footage.
The new King’s Quest game comes almost two decades after the most recent release in the series. It’s described as neither a sequel or reboot, but rather a re-imagining of the franchise.
King’s Quest will be a cinematic adventure game completed in five episodes. The Odd Gentlemen has said it will not be point-and-click, but instead will be a mix between platforming and old-school adventure gaming.
King’s Quest is set to release on PC, PS3, and PS4 in 2015.
