Netflix's latest hit series Kaleidoscope can be pretty confusing at times, particularly when events are watched out of sequence. This is incredibly likely, as viewers are encouraged to watch the show's eight episodes in whatever order they like, meaning that some will start at the very end of the story and work their way backward while others experience the narrative in a more conventional manner.

However, when all's said and done, pretty much all of Kaleidoscope's major questions will have been answered, such as what happens to RJ and Bob, who comes away with the money, and which characters live to fight another day. There's one pretty big plotline that's not fully explored though, leaving many Netflix viewers searching for answers once the credits have finished rolling.

The following article contains major spoilers for Netflix's Kaleidoscope. Those who have yet to finish watching are advised to turn back now.

Does Leo Die at the End of Kaleidoscope?

There may not be a "correct" order to watch Kaleidoscope but there is a definitive ending to the story. It comes at the climax of the Pink episode, which takes place six months after Leo's crew have carried out the heist. After making up with his daughter Hannah and confronting his former partner Roger in jail, Leo is shown walking through a tunnel with bright pink cherry blossoms on the other side. As he does so, a figure walks up behind him and pulls out a gun, and, as the pink from the cherry blossoms fills the frame, a single gunshot can be heard.

Although viewers don't actually get to see the murder take place, most seem to be in agreement that Leo dies at the end of Kaleidoscope. The identity of his would-be assassin is a little less obvious, though there is one pretty big clue that can help the audience to figure out the killer's identity. Moments before the gunshot, viewers are treated to several closeups of the gunman's chest, which reveals that he's wearing a T-shirt with a rather distinctive "Loveless" design on it. Eagle-eyed viewers should be able to spot this same T-shirt a little later on in the White episode; assuming, that is, that they decide to watch it last.

Who Kills Leo at the End of Kaleidoscope?

Around the halfway point of the heist episode, Leo's former partner Roger is shown talking to his son, Brad, who is played by Nate Katsuki. It's difficult to make out due to the lighting and the camera angles used during the scene, but the T-shirt that he's wearing sports the exact same design as the one worn by the gunman six months later. He definitely has a motive too, given that Leo is the one responsible for Brad's father ending up in prison. Then there's the fact that Katsuki shows up in the credits for the Pink episode despite not appearing at any point prior to the final scene, all but confirming that Roger's son Brad is the one who shoots Leo at the end of Kaleidoscope.
