Need for Speed Hot Pursuit DLC Trailer Porsche Armed Dangerous

Criterion Games knows a thing or two about DLC, especially after adding several downloadable packs – many of them free – to the wildly popular Burnout Paradise. When they jumped in the drivers seat of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, gamers knew it was only a matter of time before Criterion brought quality DLC to this already awesome game. Today EA announced three DLC packs that will include two new game modes, cars, events and achievements. We also have a trailer showing off these new exotic machines.

The first content pack will be titled 'Armed & Dangerous', and it will bring two new online game modes called 'Most Wanted' and 'Arms Race'. In 'Most Wanted' it will be a battle between the cops and racers, with the cops out to take down one specific racer. It's up to the other racers to protect this individual from the authorities. This mode sounds very reminiscent of the 'Cops & Robbers' DLC from Burnout Paradise, though in this case a racer acts as the gold you have to protect.

'Arms Race' is a free-for-all with every racer battling each other with all weapons available to them. The Armed & Dangerous pack will be released on February 22nd.

'Lamborghini Untamed' is a car content pack, bringing three of the most well known Lamborghini models to Hot Pursuit: the Lamborghini Diablo, Countach and Sesto Elemento. The cars will come in both racer and cop flavors and will bring with them 10 new events and four achievements/trophies. Gamers can get their hands on this content on March 1st.

The last of the three packs, to be released on March 8th, is called 'Porsche Unleashed' and it shouldn't be to hard to figure out what will come in this DLC. Gamers will get three Porsche models as both cops and racers: the Porsche 911 Turbo (1982 Edition), Porsche 959 and 911 Speedster. Just like 'Lamborghini Untamed,' gamers will get ten more events and four achievements with this pack.

Next month is looking good for fans of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. Each of these packs will be $6.99 or 560 Microsoft Points for PSN and Xbox LIVE Marketplace. No word yet if these will be made available for PC.

Will you be grabbing this DLC when it comes out? How many new ways do you think you'll be able to find of going head to head with your friends?
