Few video game franchises can boast a mechanic that has become a household name. In the 15 years since the franchise launched, the words 'Finish Him' have become iconic in pop culture and the brutal Fatalities that follow the command are now famous (or infamous) in and outside of the video game community. As expected, the latest installment, Mortal Kombat X, has upped the ante on the number and the brutality of the finishing moves.

In the months leading up the launch of Mortal Kombat X, the team at NetherRealm hosted a series of Kombat Twitch streams that showcased each of the fighters, their variants, and some of their special moves. Viewers had the chance to see quite a few Fatalities during those previews, but each fighter's finishers were spread out over more than a dozen Twitch videos. If readers want to see every disgusting finisher in one place, this video will do the trick.

Youtube channel MKIceandFire cut together a 15 minute long tutorial breaking down every Mortal Kombat X Fatality (which can apparently also be bought as microtransactions) that they have found so far in the game. The video includes the key commands, so if you want to learn the finishers for your favorite fighters, turn the resolution up to HD and settle in for a lesson.

If anyone managed to stomach the whole video, then they can see that it is pretty comprehensive at this point. For those who didn't watch the Twitch streams, the video is also a great way to get a little preview of every playable character on the roster.

Knowing the Mortal Kombat franchise's history of secrets, we don't doubt that there is a hidden fighter or two and a few extra Fatalities that the community hasn't unlocked yet, but the game's official release was only a few hours ago, so keep your eyes peeled for updates.

Early reviews of Mortal Kombat X suggest that the game has made some great improvements to the combat system. We were very impressed with the franchise reboot in 2011 and from everything we've seen on Twitch streams and early reviews, it looks like this sequel is another step in the right direction for the series.

The biggest complaints we've heard have been that the game's story mode is lacking, but considering some of the competition, like Killer Instinct, doesn't even have a story mode, Mortal Kombat X already has the edge there. Check back for our full review to see what our verdict is after we finish the game.
