This week's news from Activision includes several new game modes for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Players are storming the battlefield as they take on new and exciting challenges across all manner of maps and game modes.

Fans of Modern Warfare are excited to enter a new perspective on familiar fields of battle, engage in close-quarter skirmishes, or take on a whole new ground war experience that is sure to engage even the most veteran of players.

The first new addition is a brand new playlist, where players enter a world of fast-paced battles in Chaos 10v10. The playlist will challenge players to take on maps traditionally built for 6v6. With the added player count, even the best soldiers will have to watch their back for enemy movements.

A new Free-For-All game mode has also been released, All or Nothing, which challenges players to take down enemies with the barest of weapons. Players start with nothing more than a Throwing Knife and an empty handgun and have to scavenge from bodies for ammo, slowly fighting their way to 20 kills. It will be vitally important that players carefully listen and monitor nearby ammo stashes, or they might be left vulnerable to an unexpected ambush.

Face Off places players in 3v3 battles, taking on familiar modes like Domination, Kill Confirmed, Grind, and many others as players work in teams of three to outsmart and outmaneuver their opponents. Only the most coordinated teams can triumph in the Gunfight variant.

Ground War fans can enter the familiar battleground of Promenade and take on an infantry only Ground War, battling through the Ground War maps without the help of tanks or any other vehicles. Using only powerful infantry assaults, players must battle for the objectives and reclaim the city from enemy hands.

These new game modes give players a chance to enjoy variants on their favorite battles where they'll take on new challenges and battle through difficult game modes all in an effort to achieve victory. The one thing that all the above game modes have in common is a need for attention, strategy, and careful coordination.

Inexperienced players are sure to love the change in pace as veterans have to reinvent age-old strategies on the battlefield. Players should check their gear, perfect their loadouts, and prepare for these new modes in this popular shooter.
