
When we posted up Activision‘s counter-suit paperwork, those who opted to sift through it may have seen some news regarding another Modern Warfare title and that the current lawsuit action may be delaying the release and development of the title. Jason West and Vince Zampella’s efforts to leave Activision and form their own company is “delaying pre-production of Modern Warfare 3” which is resulting in Activision “…to commit more additional resources to Modern Warfare 3.”
To say the least, Infinity Ward might be a very large shadow of its former self by the end of this debacle, but that’s not stopping Activision from wanting at least one more Modern Warfare title under its belt. Depending on how the entire situation carries out in the end, maybe nobody will get to have it, sometimes things just have to work out like that.
Then again, Activision activated a new studio in Canada, Sledgehammer Games, back in January and at the time it was reported that they would be working on Modern Warfare 3…

It's sad (and stupid) that the companies involved in making the most successful game ever end up where they are now in this mess of negativity.
Just give me co-op campaign, a 4-player co-op mode and free/cheap maps.
