With Modern Warfare 2‘s “Stimulus” Map pack already picking up a ton of controversy (yes those are separate links), it only seems logical that Infinity Ward would go and do it all over again.
Which they are.
A Q1 2010 report states that Activision will be releasing a second, currently unnamed, map pack in late 2010. This is awesome news for those who enjoyed the first one, – as it was expected a second map pack wouldn’t be on the tables until 2011.
It’s still up in the air as to what kind of content we’ll see (whether they’ll release a few new maps as well as re-releases of old) and it’s scary to think Modern Warfare 2 customers who purchased both map packs will have spent $30 on DLC alone for the game (assuming the second pack is similar in price).
With Infinity Ward still hurting from the massive game designer exodus of 2010, we wouldn’t be surprised if the DLC included a new hire video and a digital copy of the Infinity Ward lawsuit. That said, it should be noted that, even if you’re a Modern Warfare fan and you’d like to work at Infinity Ward, tea-bagging isn’t a marketable skill.
Regardless, the remaining employees don’t appear to be slowing down on DLC content for MW2. I’m sure they’re getting help from all available staff – which at this point may as well be 3 programmers, 1 artist and a lunchlady (okay, okay, it’s not that bad – but they’ve got to be hurting).
What would you like to see in a second map pack? Would you pay around $15 for it?
No official dates have been announced for the DLC but we’ll update you when we hear more.

Personally I would like to see a map like awp_map from CS. I stopped playing MW2 since all i wanted to do was throw my controller through the screen because of the constant glitch/hacked games. Sorry if I offend, but my expectations fell flat and it's time to move on.
I'll pay another $15 for more stuff, I won't be happy, but I'll do it.
yes i would pay $15. they should put the rock in the map pack easy for them and a subburben whatever type map and i know bailout had apartments but one massive apartment with broken elevaters and air shafts to craw throw golden eye ish or Die hard and it would be crazy if they throw diffrent perks or gun something to expand the game is that not what DLC is for plus another cash cow so they can hire the right prople
I'll pay it. Probably won't be worth it – especially if its a small tweak, like day to night or some BS.
Just put all the COD4 maps in it…most of them are better than the MW2 ones, which take campers in with open arms.
