Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 may have DLC en route as early as the Spring of 2010. Tweeting about Wednesday’s playlist update, which added “Hardcore Ricochet: HQ Pro” as well as new maps for the “Free-for-All” playlist, Infinity Ward’s Creative Strategist, Robert Bowling also teased the pending DLC time frame:
“DLC is planned for the wonderfully vague time frame of Spring. I’ll let you know when we know when it’ll be done.”
No word on what the DLC will be or if there will be a cost, but we can expect more news from Robert as it develops.

I think this can be considered good news. I mean, I would like it sooner, but that is because I have become sick of the maps in ground war and domination. What is considered “Spring 2010″ ? March? I can deal with that…
Maps, maps and more maps for hardcore. There are not enough maps, not even close. I used to play thousands of different maps online with Counter-Strike on my pc. I mean c’mon already.
yea i need like 5 more new maps i like all the ones i play on team deathmatch but still not enough, more maps of airports and shopping centers please.
It’s nice knowing the DLC isn’t coming out weeks after the launch which points towards money grab.
That being said, with the financial success of the game and another franchise installment coming out next Fall, it’d be nice to see some free maps added.

Yeah, free maps would be awesome, but I dont know if that would happen. The money train is already full steam ahead, why slow it down with words like “free” Also, do we know if it is another Modern Warfare for the next installment or is it Treyarch and another WW game?
Please write out Shortcuts like DLC at least once in an article. Since im not a native speaker myself i’d realy like to know waht this is about. I figuered it has something to do with new maps? xD
Free maps are definitely the way to go. It’s a joke that we have to pay for them but I will since I love new maps. bastards!
