  1. Its absolutely dumb that they banned it. Its a game and should be treated as nothing more.

  2. I agree M-Cat,

Let buyers decide, look at other adult content which is allowed to be sold there.

This is more of a political thing with the story elements for Russia.

  3. It’s rated M for a reason. If you don’t like the content don’t buy it, it’s the same reason I don’t buy Hello Kitty Island Adventure.

  4. Heh, I had a completely different view of the story, as well as the value of the characters. And the Russians rightfully should be upset, the game portrays them in a most ridiculous manner.

[*SPOILERS*] (if anyone cares) Invading America? Laugh, out, loud (all y’all). This is terrible writing. there’s no justification for the invasion, and therefor the immersion is instantaneously thrown out the window. Just an excuse to fulfill some American wet-dream of pretending to defend Washington D.C. against impossible odds. Admittedly though, all I could think of during that scene was the old lady’s line in Mars Attacks, “They blew up congress! *laughs hysterically* “. The whole think is embarrassing silliness, a few American troops can take on waves of nameless-mask-wearing-non-speaking Russian airborne? Hilarious.

As for the “No Russian” scene. Oddly enough, I felt no remorse for the clones. Everyone was the same height, in their 30′s, and of the same body build. No children? No old people? Something didn’t seem right, and so the “power” of the moment was gone with the thought that they (IW) couldn’t take this far enough, but you were supposed to be shocked by it anyway. And so, one nameless American goes on a rampage in an airport, killing at most a hundred people, and the country’s politicians decide to invade a super power — the next day? What the heck did they plan to accomplish?

Seriously, I wish I rented this game or could resell it. Stupid Steam.

  5. Aaron

I bought a game through steam before and then emailed them about returning it and getting a refund. They gave me no problems and took care of it within a couple of days. Give it a shot. Can’t hurt to try.
