The world of Mob Psycho 100 is filled with many powerful espers, humans capable of using psychic powers in different forms. Their powers are manifested at birth or later in life, with the latter usually occurring when a person has achieved a heightened emotional state. Though initially shown to be uncommon, more espers are revealed over the course of the series, with many having a significant role to play in the events that transpire.

Though Mob is regarded by most, if not all, as the strongest esper in the anime, there are multiple noteworthy characters with outstanding strengths of their own. These characters possess extremely powerful abilities, and in direct confrontation with Mob, some have managed to temporarily overwhelm the mighty protagonist.

10 Megumu Koyama

As a former member of the upper echelon of Claw called Scar, Koyama is an extremely powerful psychic. He is a ruthless individual who believes that the strongest should rule, and he uses brutal methods to enforce that philosophy. He was sent by the organization to retrieve Mob, and it was while carrying out the mission that his powers were revealed.

He is very skilled in hand-to-hand combat and had no problem overwhelming Mob in his regular state. Additionally, he augments his punches using an ability called Telekinetic Helix, allowing him to break through psychic barriers and deal significant damage to his opponents. Though he was able to break through Mob’s barrier multiple times, he was overwhelmed after Mob reached 100% animosity.

9 Yusuke Sakurai

Sakurai is also a former member of Claw, but he has a much more serious and composed demeanor compared to Koyama. As a child, he was abandoned by his parents, and due to being mistreated at an orphanage, he cursed the world as he believed it was his only way to survive. His powers seemingly manifested as a result, allowing him to imbue curses into different objects and give them special attributes.

For example, his primary weapon of choice is a plastic sword, filled with many curses over the years which now allow it to cut through almost any surface. He can also apply this ability to large spaces, as shown with his cursed room, which was powerful enough to stop even Mob from using his powers.

8 Teruki Hanazawa

Teruki Hanazawa

Teruki was formerly one of Mob's enemies, but following their initial confrontation, he became one of Mob's most reliable allies. Throughout the series, he has shown a remarkable ability to learn new techniques and is often seen using them soon after seeing them once.

Relatively early on in the anime, he fought against Terada and Sakurai, two upper-echelon members of Claw, and came out of both battles relatively unscathed. Though he didn’t exactly achieve victory in those cases, he has gained more power since then and could even compete with Ultimate Five member Ryo Shimazaki. His acquired abilities so far include Pyrokinesis, Air Whips, and Telekinetic Explosion.

7 Ishiguro

Ishiguro

Ishiguro was the leader of the Seventh Division of Claw and served as the last boss of the first season. Unlike the other members who had a single scar, he had multiple marks which were obtained from his several confrontations with Toichiro, the leader of Claw.

His psychic powers take the form of gravity manipulation, and through it, he was able to push Mob into the ground. Furthermore, his other attacks are also gravity based, as seen with his Five Hundred Kilogram Tackle and One Ton Punch, both augmenting regular attacks by increasing the weight used to perform them. Lastly, he is able to create orbs resembling miniature black holes capable of consuming almost anything in their path.

6 Sho Suzuki

Sho Suzuki

Sho is the son of the former leader of Claw, though he has stated himself to be nothing like his father. He also claimed to be as powerful as the organization's Ultimate 5, however, he was still intimidated by both Toshiki Minegichi and Ryo Shimazaki. Like Teruki, he was initially portrayed as a villain but eventually revealed that his true aim was to stop his father's plans for world domination.

Like many other espers, he is also capable of telekinesis and can manipulate light well enough to turn himself invisible. Furthermore, he can counter psychic abilities by seemingly reversing the flow of energy within the attacks. His most potent ability came in the form of a Charge Bomb, an attack made possible due to him storing energy for three months. Even Suzuki was impressed by the attack, stating that “the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.”

5 Toshiki Minegichi

Toshiki Minegichi

Minegichi was introduced in the World Domination arc, and it was immediately evident that they were an extremely powerful psychic. Their abilities were remarked by Sho to be extremely dangerous and even Ritsu sensed something off about them. They are able to control plants through chlorokinesis.

Using said plants, they can drain their opponent's powers and render them useless. In their battle against three former members of Claw, they managed to overpower each one despite them being perfectly balanced. However, they still didn’t stand a chance against either Kogami or Mob, though they contended with the latter for an extended period of time.

4 Ryo Shimazaki

Ryo Shimazaki

One of the strongest members of the Ultimate 5, Ryo is a psychic reliant on his powers for navigation as he is incapable of sight. However, this does not significantly limit him, as he can accurately sense any relevant objects around him. He can also predict attacks and avoid them with great reaction time, making him an extremely formidable opponent.

He is further aided by his primary ability, which is teleportation. Using this in conjunction with his extrasensory capabilities, he becomes nigh unbeatable, as it is difficult even to land a single hit on him. Additionally, he has an awakened form called Mind’s eye, where he can concentrate his sensory abilities on specific targets and deliver fatal blows to each one.

3 Katsuya Serizawa

Serizawa is one of the many characters in the anime to betray Claw and switch allegiances shortly after. He was one of the closest to its leader and was even stated by Toichiro to be the strongest member of the Ultimate Five. Unfortunately, however, Serizawa is somewhat reclusive and used to lose control of his psychic powers whenever he was separated from his umbrella.

In his battles so far, he has been able to overpower a psychic agent sent to infiltrate Claw and fight on par with Mob for a short time. Initially, his powers were utilized mainly through his umbrella, as he could channel massive amounts of energy through it and could also block extremely potent attacks. Currently, however, he doesn’t need the umbrella and, along with Mob, was able to exorcize all the Yōkai attracted to the divine tree.

2 Keiji Mogami

Keiji Mogami

Mogami is currently an evil spirit, but while he was still an esper, he was referred to as the “Greatest Psychic of the 20th Century.” He was originally a generous person, but after losing faith in humanity, he amassed a large amount of spiritual energy, committed suicide, and came back to forecefully reform humans who held grudges against others.

His main abilities shown in the story have been possession, evil spirit control, and mental mindscape. Using a mental mindscape, he trapped Mob in an inescapable prison for six months and subjected him to relentless psychological torture using evil spirits. Later in the series, he attacks Minegichi and overpowers them with their own plants, proving that he is significantly stronger than the Ultimate Five member.

1 Toichiro Suzuki

Toichiro Suzuki

Of all the psychics Mob has encountered in the series, Toichiro is arguably the strongest, as he managed to overpower Mob even at 100%. He was the founder of Claw, and his main aim was world domination, though he was eventually stopped by Mob and his allies. Apart from being powerful, he is also ruthless and not above pummeling Sho, his own son, with psychic powers.

Like Mob and other powerful espers, he is able to store large amounts of psychic energy and release them with immense force. Throughout the final battle of the World Domination Arc, his output gradually increased as he faced Mob at different levels of 100%. Unfortunately, however, Toichiro’s power at 100% state led to his own defeat, as he could not manage the vast amount of energy being emitted.
