Microsoft sets the tempo for E3 again in 2012 as the company first out of the gate to show off their latest and greatest products for the Xbox 360. Will this be another year of emphasis on Xbox Live services and the Kinect, or will Microsoft roll out some major game announcements? Or maybe even hint at the company’s next generation console?
While we weren’t expecting any megaton newsflashes, Microsoft’s Xbox E3 2012 Media Briefing was set to feature the following:
- Gears of War: Judgment
- Ten minutes of footage from the Halo 4 Campaign Mode
- Forza Horizon
- Fable The Journey
- New Kinect titles
- Xbox Dashboard Updates
- An unnecessary celebrity appearance
- And more!

Sony is the second last one, in the uk it will be on at 2:00am and i really want to watch it so hopefully i can stay awake to see it. Cant wait to see some halo 4 campain mode. I like how they show the multiplayer first like it should be and the story last. its the exact opposite from cod which is surprising it has a single player at all now. GoW: ascension is the same, we know nothing all about the story (excapt its a sequel) and we have seen the multiplayer gameplay.

I’m not expecting much at this years conference. The only game that I cared about hearing about besides halo 4 and GOW Judgement is the mass effect 3 extended cut dlc, but Bioware has already confirmed that there will be no discussion of the extended cut dlc or any single player story dlc at this years conference.
I hope to god they surprise us with something, if this is another showing of 75% kiddy kinect games with the other 25% being what we already know I’m going to be pissed….but not surprised.
After last years conference that displayed 98% 3rd party games, I was officially done with Microsoft and Xbox. They offer nothing that Sony doesn’t have and why should I have to pay for Xbox live. I bought my 360 at launch, 3 red ring swaps later I was not upset selling my 360. Last year was the nail in the coffin that converted me to a Sony fanboy. Sorry Microsoft, I was with you first but you’ve been shown up greatly and I’m not looking back.
Please tell me this is not another year of shoving the kinect down our throats.
LOOKS LIKE MICCROSOFT AND ACTIVISION RENEWED (sry caps) the contract to have dlc, i wont but elite again. big waste of money for ps3 players imo. The halo 4 game looks amazing, i am hyped up and i cant wait to get it.
South park part was great to bad they didnt have game play put we kinda know its an rpg so i can wait for it. I like in the uk so i have to wait till early morning to see sont, hopefully i can stay awake lol
Aside from the Tomb Raider and Splinter Cell footage…really boring. Halo was pretty cool too, but Black Ops 2 was…well, mehh.
