Metro 2033 Release Date Announced

THQ has confirmed that their upcoming post-apocalyptic shooter Metro 2033 is scheduled to be released in North American stores on March 16th, and European stores on March 19th. The title is being developed for both Xbox 360 and PC by Ukrainian developers 4A Games.

It was also revealed that a Limited Edition version will be available for both formats, which includes an exclusive in-game weapon – an automatic shotgun – and four art cards by the Russian painter Anton Grechko.

Metro 2033 is based on the popular Eastern European cult novel of the same name, and is set in Moscow in the year -- you guessed it -- 2033. The player assumes the role of Artyom as he ventures to the heart of the Metro system, to warn the remnants of mankind of a terrible impending threat.

I personally can’t wait to get my grubby little mitts on this game, it looks like it’s set to be an extremely atmospheric single player experience with some amazing visuals. It also should give me my much needed post-apocalyptic fix until Fallout: New Vegas arrives.

The game look very nice, but I don't own a X-box, so maybe if it come out on PC

That is really cool that 360 owners have a credible and quite awesome looking game to take their mind off god of war 3 being released on the same day. This game looks really interesting and love the icy post apocalyptic world.

YES!! I've already pre-ordered the game , im so happy they didn't sell out and didn't give it a multiplayer! all they did was focus on the gameplay. Thats all i need for a good game!!
