This is so true. I once played a game that, due to the burnt-limb covered box art, I thought was going to be an ultra-bloody shooter, but it turned out to be a toast-making simulator. The burnt limbs were from people who simply didn’t know how to operate a crumb tray. Even though Mega Man’s artwork is vague enough to really be about anything, it still doesn’t help that he looks a weaker Master Chief who was forced to shop only at thrift stores that only carried shirts whose sleeves were too long for the body. All that, and yet the game is still awesome.

Yeah, the Mega Man box art was some of the worst ever made. I do love how Capcom knows this too and they’ve actually parodied it for Mega Man 9 and 10. XD
