Sony has had a fair amount of success with the PlayStation 4 since the console released in November of last year, and it's been dominating the competition thus far by a wide margin in sales on a consistent basis. Looking forward, there are a number of games launching on the console that could only help to boost the popularity of the format, but there's one major first-party studio in particular that's yet to make its presence felt on the PS4.

That studio is, of course, Britain's very own Media Molecule which has cranked out beloved games such as LittleBigPlanet and Tearaway.

While much of the firm's next project has been kept heavily under wraps (barring a PS4 tech demo that was showcased during the PS4's initial unveiling), Media Molecule has opted to give gamers a brief glimpse of its new game. The only drawback, or stroke of genius, to this teaser footage is that it's simply showcasing a rendering glitch that's caused a copious number of colors and faces to flash on-screen.

"A rendering error one of our artists Stefan experienced whilst working on our unannounced PS4 project caused this trippy sequence of colourful nonsense that simply begged to be shared in its full unedited glory... naturally only after we slapped some techno over the top of it. Consider it an exclusive peek at our new game if you like, it's not particularly revealing, but we found it amusing! If you've seen our tech demo from the PS4 announcement, then you'll spot a familiar face..."

Media Molecule PS4 Game Teaser

Admittedly, the techno beats that the employees at Media Molecule peppered over the footage makes it appear like a more legitimate, planned and uninformative glimpse of the project. That being said, it'll be interesting to see just where the creators of LittleBigPlanet are heading next; especially since the developer handed the reins of Sackboy over to Sumo Digital for LittleBigPlanet 3.

There's probably still quite a bit of time left before MM is ready to pull the curtain off of its latest title, but it appears that the game is already well into development. The developer doesn't seem to be shy in regards to teasing its forthcoming titles though, so stay tuned to Game Rant for more details on the project as soon as they're brought forth.

Are you looking forward to seeing what Media Molecule will be bringing to PlayStation 4? Do you have any guesses as to what genre the unannounced title will fall in?
