Game Ranter Banter: Medal Of Honor: Warfighter, Mass Effect 3 DLC, New Pokemon Games & More!
It's almost March, which means one thing... it's almost time for Mass Effect 3! Yes, we know many of you are replaying Mass Effect 2 (or maybe even the first game!) in anticipation to get your Shepards absolutely perfect. But we hope you can still spare a few minutes to take part in the Game Ranter Banter.
This week, Mass Effect 3 is on our brains as our writers discuss the Mass Effect 3 DLC controversy. We'll also be talking about the just-announced Medal of Honor: Warfighter, Killzone 3 going free to play, the lack of gameplay footage in Kinect Star Warstrailers, and the announcement of Pokemon Black and White 2.
new medal of honour will be pretty cool since the 1st one (reboot) was all serious with little bs and no over the top exaggerated bs like bf3′s campaign (all they had to do was keep the story in the middle east and about WMD’s not russian’s). now that they’re doing the mp as well, they can make it the way they want, and as a wise man once said ‘if you can take something and change it by a single degree, that makes it your idea’ meaning all they have to do is copy CoD minus the stupid stuff, and they’re all set.
i highly doubt treyarcs new engine will make a difference, the textures on their games give them a cartoony feel and their mp designers suck b/c they keep nerfing everything.
the last pokemon game i played was ruby, haven’t touched a single one ever since b/c to me the franchise is becoming stale and boring and the designers are loosing their touch (seriously a trash bag for a monster wtf ?)
They always copy COD, their games are turning into total bs. Danger Close should develop a MOH that is more original, then think about doing sequels from there. If the presentation is crap, then I’ll just stick with the next COD. But hey I’ll have to try it first before I judge it. @Rob, couldn’t agree with you more. My opinion is EA only cares about getting the crown from COD. I don’t see the point in developing a sequel to a 75 rated game.
the visuals for moh where fine, its the gameplay that sucked b/c dice half a**ed the mp and they admit to doing so (referring to it as an experiment in prep for bf3). hopefully the team can make mp more like the way they imagined it rather then having someone else ruin their ideas. imo the way they approach ‘streaks’ was pretty cool and realistic, i want to see more of that stuff (fyi CoD ripped off moh with support and assault streaks, and they ripped off homefront with a top of other stuff, and crysis 2 with the dogtag system as well as bf3 for weapon ranks).
All you whiners can complain all you want about it not being for the 3DS, but man I am pumped for this. I’ve heard rumors that you’ll be able to visit Hoenn in this, and at the end if B/W *****SPOILER**** It says the Legendary opposite the one you had been seen flying in a distant land(Hoenn?[ and N has that legendary]). *****End Spoiler**** This sounds really interesting. People seem to be thinking it’s Grey/Grey split into two, but it’s a continuation of B/W.
I honestly don’t see how Warfighter is break away from the mold. Sure the graphics will be impressive, but no more so than BF3′s graphics (it’s the same engine). It seems set to be another FPS cookie cutter. As for Battlefield competing with MoH, I also think it’s a bad idea. Battlefield is the bigger (and first) FPS shooter for EA, so EA should stick with it rather than diverting attention to a much less popular franchise.
Really should have been for 3ds

Yeah I’d rather DICE stick with BF and allow Danger Close to work on MOH. I thought COD4:MW had dogtags as well, I don’t remember.
The graphics and visuals in the clip scenes were awesome, but when it got to gameplay my eyes screamed.

@Matt
MOH is older than BF. MOH use to be more popular than BF, but everything has changed.
