A launch trailer for Mass Effect 3: Reckoning has landed just in time for the multiplayer pack's February 26th release. Boasting new playable character classes, new weapons (including a new omni weapon), and new maps, Reckoning is the last hurrah for the Mass Effect 3 multiplayer.

Those new character classes, for those that don't know, are the Geth Juggernaut, the female Turian Raptor, a Talon mercenary, and an Alliance infiltration unit. Some of the new weapons included with the pack include the Geth Spitfire Assault Rifle, Venom Shotgun, and Lancer Assault Rifle.

Like any good launch trailer, the one featured above sizzles with the type of action shots befitting of the Mass Effect series. It's a shame we had to wait so long for a pack this awesome, but on the plus side it gives gamers plenty to mess around with until Mass Effect 4 releases.

Taking the promotional train a step further, BioWare also streamed a full hour of the multiplayer in action over on Twitch.tv, and they were gracious enough to keep it archived for all to enjoy. Obviously, the real indicator of how a multiplayer DLC pack adds to the experience is to play it, but seeing it in action comes a close second.

Multiplayer is, however, only one part of the one-two-punch that is BioWare's DLC send-off for Mass Effect 3 — the other part being the Citadel expansion that releases on March 5th. Although fans were hoping, and rumors suggested, that the DLC might offer some sort of cooperative experience set within one of the series' most iconic locations that is not the case.

All we know for sure is that Citadel required all major BioWare writers get together and bang out a story that is a fitting end to such an epic trilogy. Or if you want to read between the lines: a story that overshadows the massive disappointment that was the ending to ME3 (in many people's minds).
