Who says the ladies are underrepresented in fighting games? New challengers Storm and C. Viper were revealed for Marvel vs. Capcom 3 today, endings a three and a half week lull in character announcements. The previous roster reveals included Jill and Shuma-Gorath via download only, and She-Hulk with Zero,  making four of the last six fighters female. Though the epitome of manliness is still waiting for his name to be called: Mike Haggar.C. Viper is a relatively new addition to the Capcom brand, born  in Street Fighter IV, and will be the sole new Street Fighter included in MvC 3. She'll join the already announced pair of Ryu and Chun Li.

Here's C. Viper in action, said to share a similar moveset as to Captain Commando:

Storm, however, has a history in Marvel vs. games. She was a playable character in the original 1996 X-Men vs. Street Fighter, and though she was only an assist in the first Marvel vs. Capcom, she regained her roster spot in the sequel. Storm joins Wolverine, Deadpool, X-23, and Magneto in representing the X-Men, though fans continue to hope for an even larger presence (Cyclops).

Capcom producer Ryota Niitsuma said in a past interview that Marvel vs. Capcom 3 was going to focus on introducing new characters, rather than focus on the heroes of past. With over 32 characters said to be included on the disc, and DLC characters arleady being announced, the roster should be more varied and exciting than ever before. New face like M.O.D.O.K. and Amaterasu do so much to bring a new audience, while changing up the way professionals compete. Marvel vs. Capcom 3 may be the best fighter ever released.

Excited to see C. Viper and Storm make the Marvel vs. Capcom 3 roster, Ranters? Are you beginning to worry that your favorite might not make this list? Who's left to add?
