Corrupted Saves: WarioWare are My Pants?

Corrupted Saves video games webcomic for Game Rant

While we don’t usually like to make wild claims here on Corrupted Saves, I think this week we can provide you with a guarantee that we wouldn’t otherwise give out. This week, we can say with all certainty that this is in fact the funniest comic we’ve done all year. Just putting that out there. I mean, I get that humor is a pretty subjective thing, but regardless of your personal taste, this one’s pretty indisputable.

What’s also indisputable is that we can look back at a solid year of gaming. We had franchises hit their third entries like it was going out of style: Modern Warfare 3, Uncharted 3, Gears of War 3, and let’s not forget, of course, Just Dance 3. We also had a year of some games not living up to their own hype.

Duke Nukem Forever took over a decade to step up to bat and poor Duke didn’t even get a chance to strike out. For most gamers, he whiffed so hard, the bat swung around and cracked him in the back of his own skull before he could even finish. EA and DICE learned that maybe trash talk is better left for rounds of multiplayer and not to be slung at industry peers. Portal 2 showed us that even mechanical entities can have a wide range of emotions while Batman once again showed very little of said emotion while cracking skulls across Arkham City.

Whatever 2011 brought to the table for you, we still have plenty to look forward to in 2012. So slowly step away from that New Year’s Eve mistake, and get back to your console.

  1. You know game rant is on cod’s payroll because they left out battlefield 3, just like machinima and the VGA’s, all sellouts.
