Late night talk show host and comedian Conan O'Brien sits down to play Nintendo's racing game Mario Kart 8 with Neighbors 2 stars Seth Rogen and Zac Efron.

As a part of his Clueless Gamer segment and as a cross-promotion for the upcoming comedy movie Neighbors 2, the popular TV personality Conan O'Brien invited the film's actors Seth Rogen and Zac Efron on to his show to play Nintendo's Mario Kart 8. In order to loosely connect to the raunchy party themes from Neighbors 2, the stars raised the stakes a bit by having the loser of each race in Mario Kart 8 fall prey to some typical frat-house shenanigans.

Much like in all of his portions of Clueless Gamer, Conan is often woefully inept at playing video games, and Mario Kart 8 is no exception. Bearing that in mind, it's to be expected that the comedian would take last place most of the time, and bear the brunt of the punishment that comes with being in the loser's circle.

Instead of spoiling all of the fun, though, it's best for fans of Mario Kart 8 and Conan O'Brien to watch the clip below. Not only will it remind fans of all the times they've spent with friends in intense competition playing Nintendo's latest iteration in its long-running racing franchise, but also the jokes and playful banter shared between O'Brien, Rogen, and Efron are all hilarious.

Interestingly enough, this isn't the first time that Conan O'Brien has been introduced to a Nintendo property. A while back, the talk show host featured the wildly popular fighting game Super Smash Bros during his Clueless Gamer segment, which led to loads of confused, yet endearing silliness. And, of course, just like in the Mario Kart 8 piece above, Nintendo used Super Smash Bros' feature of creating customized Mii fighters to make an avatar that looked like Conan.

With Mario Kart 8 having been out since 2014, it's strange Conan's show didn't use a more recent title with multiplayer that's slated for availability soon, especially since the majority of the Clueless Gamer bits operate primarily as a promotional spot for the release of upcoming video games. However, with Conan having already played DOOM with Super Bowl athletes Josh Norman, Von Miller and Marshawn Lynch, there are not too many other games with multiplayer capabilities on the horizon from which to choose that would have fit the frat house theme of the segment.

In any case, many fans would agree that the timeless fun found in simply being able to race against pals within the plethora of tracks Mario Kart 8 makes the game a perfectly fine choice to support the Clueless Gamer segment. If anything, it serves as a reminder of how enjoyable the Mario Kart series has been as a whole, allowing for plenty of healthy competition among friends, be it through couch co-op or online.

Mario Kart 8 is out now and is available for Nintendo's Wii U.
