As we previously reported, Zipper Interactive opened the beta version 5.0 of MAG worldwide to all PSN users on January 4, 2010. As soon as the MAG open beta period began, however, there were numerous reports that players could not access the game. When asked about this on the Official US Playstation blog, Zipper’s Senior Community Manager, Jeremy Dunham, responded:
“Yeah, we’re having a bit of a server hiccup. We’re fixing now with the highest priority.”
Later the same day, Dunham noted that the servers were indeed back up and functioning, but many PSN users were still reporting that they could not enter the game. Dunham later posted:
“So the main issue is with the lobby — if you get a 10:4 issue, then keep trying to log back in — you have a about a 1 in 4 chance to connect to the lobby when that happens, and once you’re connected, the game runs fine.”
“So if you get 10:4 you can keep trying, or wait a little longer while we increase that lobby response rate.”
Dunham noted that Zipper would continue to address the problem. On the bright side, there appears to be high interest in MAG, so hopefully Zipper can fix the connectivity problems before PS3 owners become too discouraged.
MAG is set for release exclusively for the PS3 on January 26, 2010, in North America.

i had no problem with this yesterday, i only got disconnected 2x out of my whole play time. dam 256 is pretty intense and the maps are pretty small for this size of ppl.
That disconnecting problem only happen for a couple hours it has been fix already working flawlessly.
!_!:
The maps are huge you were only playing a small portion at the time because you were not playing with 256 players.
That’s what they get for trying to change server technology!
I kid. Thanks to these comments I trust that the servers are probably working perfectly and look forward to trying this out sometime.
