Madden NFL 16 is right around the corner, as the game is set to land on store shelves this coming Tuesday, August 25th. Despite criticisms regarding a general lack of innovation in the franchise, and some claiming that each new entry is merely a dressed up roster update, fans still flock in droves to pick up the year's Madden NFL game like clockwork.

Just so fans don't forget to rush to the store and grab Madden NFL 16 in a few days, EA Sports has released an amazing new trailer for the game, featuring the talents of former WWE women's wrestler AJ Lee, Dave Franco, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski. Watch the epic new trailer for Madden NFL 16 above.

EA really does get creative with their Madden marketing every year, and this Madden NFL 16 trailer is definitely one of their best efforts to date. It almost certainly has to be one of the most expensive and over-the-top video game commercials ever cobbled together, not to mention one of the most star-studded.

Returning from last year's Madden commercial is Dave Franco. The younger brother of James Franco, Dave appeared alongside Kevin Hart in last year's comedic Madden NFL 15 commercial, and he does a great job in this year's commercial as well, in the role of the protagonist "Blade Johnson." Franco is joined by other Hollywood stars in the action-packed trailer, as well as NFL athletes like Antonio Brown, Julio Jones, and head coach of the Buffalo Bills, Rex Ryan.

Perhaps the most notable inclusion from the actual NFL in the trailer is that of Rob "Gronk" Gronkowski. Gronkowski shattered records for his position early on in his career, becoming one of the more standout personalities of the NFL in recent seasons in the process. Gronkowski was even once in the running for Madden NFL 16 cover athlete, though that honor eventually went to Odell Beckham Jr. of the New York Giants.

This ridiculous, yet epic, trailer for Madden NFL 16 continues a recent trend of especially well done game trailers. For example, there was the Terminator trailer for WWE 2K16, as well as the really cool Choose Your Own Adventure Until Dawn trailer. Of course, this Madden trailer doesn't accurately depict what the game is about, whereas the Until Dawn trailer was very faithful to the spirit and gameplay mechanics of the game, despite being a live action trailer, thanks to its interactivity.

What do you think of this Madden NFL 16 trailer? Does it make you want to buy the game when it comes out in a few days? Let us know if Dave Franco and company won you over and have made you want to shell out the cash for Madden NFL 16!

Madden NFL 16 will be available on August 25th for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
