There are quite a few games that have been announced for the PlayStation Vita, but there is one game that stands out above all the rest as a must-have for the handheld. That game is none other than the much anticipated Uncharted: Golden Abyss — but in a close second is LittleBigPlanet Vita.
There is still much that the developers at Double 11 hadn’t revealed about Sackboy’s upcoming Vita romp, but during today’s kick-off of Gamescom 2011 that all changed. Sony released a brand new trailer for LittleBigPlanet Vita that reveals some of the awesome features that only a LittleBigPlanet game could pull off on the handheld device.
Some of the new options detailed in the trailer include the ability to snap pics on the Vita’s camera and import the image into the game, and the use of the Vita’s touchscreen to place gadgets on-screen. Both of these options, and several others, look very promising, and guarantee that LittleBigPlanet Vita will feel like a fresh experience for veterans of the series.
The official ‘Create’ trailer for LittleBigPlanet Vita can be seen below. Be warned: It’s absolutely adorable.
There is certainly a lot to get excited about after watching LittleBigPlanet Vita in action, and after a brief hands-on with the game at E3 we can confirm that the game is just as much fun to play as the footage would have fans believe.
It also seems that Sega wasn’t mistaken when they called the Vita “technically brilliant”, because LittleBigPlanet Vita looks just as good as its console brethren. Even though the LBP Vita still isn’t the free-to-play game that was originally pitched to Sony, it’s one of the few games that I’m happy to sacrifice my hard-earned cash for — and it may even be enough to warrant purchasing the Vita upon its release.
