LittleBigPlanet Karting is on track to be the premier kart racing game on the PlayStation 3. Headed by United Front Games, the developers behind ModNation Racers, the first ever kart racing addition to the LittleBigPlanet series has a lot of potential, but there's something missing... more specifically someone.

Sony, while overseeing the game's development, noticed this, and they've taken the liberty of spicing the game up dramatically — by adding Kevin Butler as a playable character.

Revealed by GameStop and Amazon, the fictional Vice President of PlayStation (and everything related to it), Kevin Butler is now the official bonus for fans who pre-order LittleBigPlanet Karting. Those who throw down their money in advance of the game's release will score an exclusive Kevin Butler costume for Sackboy, which decks out the adorable plush character with the trademark Butler suit and tie, a VP coffee mug, and the Vice President of PlayStation's picture perfect mound of hair. Sounds like a pretty good deal, but the offer goes beyond just the KB costume.

Pre-orderees will also score a new kart; more specifically a golf kart. The 'Executive Golf Kart' probably doesn't offer anything to the game outside of its exclusivity factor, so those who miss out on this bonus shouldn't be affected horribly when it comes to online racing. This entire downloadable package will finally allow gamers to see if Kevin Butler (or at the very least a doll wearing his clothes) can hold his own against one of the mascots he's become known for plugging.

This may be one of the most laugh-out-loud, awesome pre-orders in a while, and it's certainly not one that those anticipating the game were expecting. Currently only available at the previously mentioned GameStop and Amazon, the Kevin Butler costume/golf kart combo should be making its way to a brick-and-mortar retailer near you within the coming weeks. If you're hoping to secure one of these bad boys then you may want to call ahead and make sure your go-to game store will be offering The KB.

LittleBigPlanet Karting is expected to dash onto the PS3 later this year.
