Quite some time ago, Media Molecule revealed some pictures of the original LittleBigPlanet's Sackboy dressed like Sepiroth, and Final Fantasy VII fans were overjoyed to see their favourite characters return — albeit in sack form.

A few years have come and gone since we saw Sackboy repping his Square Enix-owned threads, which left many to believe that the deal had fallen through. This is apparently not the case, as the Playstation.blog has revealed that the new Final Fantasy VII costume pack will be available later this month to LittleBigPlanet 2, along with a medley of other licensed outfits.

The costume pack for LittleBigPlanet 2 includes the likes of Cloud, Sepiroth, Aeris, Tifa and Vincent, and can be purchased off of the PSN for a grand total of $5.99. Those who only want to reenact the the epic battle between Cloud and Sepiroth can purchase the costumes individually for $1.99 each, but the Vincent costume is an exclusive bonus that is only available to those who go all out and purchase the full FF7 costume pack. All of the previously mentioned costumes will finally be available on July 13th, so mark the day on your calendar now if you're as dedicated a Final Fantasy fan as you claim to be.

That's not all however, as there are several other costume packs coming to the PSN in a few short weeks. The inFAMOUS 2 mini-pack released this week for $2.99, and it contains a few new stickers as well as two different costumes of the game's main protagonist Cole McGrath. Killzone 3 is the next series of costumes to look forward to on July 20th. It is a similar option to the inFAMOUS 2 mini-pack in the sense that it also gives players two costumes (the Hazmat Trooper and Rico), includes some cute stickers, and retails for the same $2.99 price tag. A Toy Story pack is also coming soon, and players who buy that will receive three new costume packs (as in more than just three costumes), and a few new levels based off of the hit movies.

These costumes are a breathe of fresh air for LittleBigPlanet enthusiasts who have been costume-deprived while the PSN was down, and it's nice to see some normalcy returning to the PSN's release schedule.
