If you can't get enough of Marvel characters in the comic books and movies alone, then a new deliverance is on the way in the form of LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, the new LEGO adventure featuring many, many characters from the Marvel universe, a few more of which were revealed at San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend. The game was announced earlier this year, and fans of both the Marvel comics and Traveller's Tales games have no doubt been eagerly awaiting further details.

First of all, check out the new trailer above, affectionately titled "Big Figure," which features many of the heroes and villains that will appear in the game duking it, with a particular emphasis placed on Hulk and his almighty roar. Rhino's there too, as is the Invisible Woman, and the Thing, and Tony Stark, and Wolverine and... well, it's honestly very easy to lose count of the characters featured in this trailer.

Polygon reports that LEGO Marvel Super Heroes also gives players the chance to take on the role of the ultimate hero of the Marvel franchise: Stan Lee himself. Gameplay footage played at SDCC revealed the legendary comic book writer displaying powers that emulate those of the characters he co-created, including Spider-Man-style web-slinging and a transformation into Hulk Lee. If that doesn't quite satisfy you, there was even more revealed during the Marvel Comic-Con panel. Clark Gregg will lend his smooth tones to the game as Agent Coulson, and along with Stan Lee, other real-life Marvel "characters" will include Marvel CEO Joe Quesada and editor-in-chief Axel Alonso. Howard the Duck and Squirrel Girl also get a look-in, as do Gambit, Green Goblin, Juggernaut, Dr. Doom, Jean Grey, Sabretooth, Vulture, the Punisher, Beast, Storm, Silver Samurai and Magneto. Deadpool will appear as a playable character (hopefully he'll be on his best behavior) and Iron Patriot will be available as a pre-order exclusive.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes will be released on PC, Wii U, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo 3DS, DS and PlayStation Vita later this year.
