It's no secret that the LEGO series of video games has been incredibly successful for Warner Bros. Interactive, so much so that the company is now planning to release its own entry in the toys-to-life genre with LEGO Dimensions later this year. While many fans of the block-building brand are anticipating the arrival of that crossover-fueled game, it's easy to overlook the next major LEGO entry.

LEGO Jurassic World was set to arrive later this June, but the developer has since issued an update to narrow down which day fans can expect the new title – and they done so with a spiffy new trailer to boot.

According to Warner Bros. Interactive, LEGO Jurassic World will be arriving on every platform but the kitchen sink on June 12, 2015. As the newest trailer and past trailers have emphasized thus far, this game will feature all three of the original Jurassic Park films (as well as the upcoming Jurassic World) in a very kid-friendly and plastic aesthetic.

One of the most appealing aspect of the new game for fans of the corresponding film franchise, however, is sure to be the fact that the actual dialogue from the movies has been applied to the mini figure look-a-likes that appear in the title. With the likes of Jeff Goldblum and newcomer Chris Pratt voicing their respective characters, longtime fans of the films are sure to get a kick out of this new take on the series.

Players will also be able to play as the dinosaurs themselves, which should cause hilarity to ensure shortly thereafter. Waltzing around as a T-rex and building contraptions as a brick-based velociraptor are fun, albeit goofy, ways of providing users with an experience that's unique to this particular LEGO title. Based on the trailer, it also appears that users will be able to control the massive and aquatic Mosasaurus, although we wouldn't bank on being able to swap to this character in any given scenario.

Despite LEGO Jurassic World arriving alongside the new film on June 12, a handful of the characters and dinosaurs will also be appearing in the aforementioned LEGO Dimensions in their own respective playsets, according to leaked package shots of the forthcoming products. With that in mind, it looks like followers of the Jurassic Park franchise have a lot to look forward to in the coming year.

LEGO Jurassic World will be available in North America on June 12, 2015 for Nintendo 3DS, Wii U, PC, PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
