Spoilers for the upcoming Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 DLCs are in this article. So if you want to keep yourself unspoiled for the zombies, then I recommend to stop reading this right now.
Last night’s episode of GameTrailers TV released some news that none of us were prepared for. Valve writer Chet Faliszek broke our hearts, stating that in the upcoming Left 4 Dead 2 DLC you will only encounter three of the original survivors. Three, because the fourth is dead. Then, in the DLC for Left 4 Dead that’s released at a later time, you’ll play through the events that lead to one of your team’s great sacrifice.
Chet didn’t go all the way and tell us who dies, but it’s probably Francis. Now, I’ve got no real evidence to back that up, but you heard it here first. Francis is so dead.
Some interesting questions arise from this situation, questions every Left 4 Dead fan is probably thinking about right now. Will Francis come back as a zombie? Or will his immunity carry on into the after-life? Will Zoey, Louis and Bill enjoy killing zombie Francis? I bet they will.
Fine then! Maybe it isn’t Francis, but then, who do you think it will be? And damn, how can Valve do this to us!?
Left 4 Dead 2‘s DLC “The Passing” should be hitting in the next few weeks, and then the original Left 4 Dead‘s DLC hits sometime in April.

Interesting. I wonder if they would go the route where the character became a zombie and would still make the character playable, some kind of super-zombie. Maybe that's going more in the territory of Resident Evil, though. Would be a unique twist/finale.

its actually bill who died cause you kill off louis you get valve being judged racist. you cant kill zoey because of feminists and female gamers and if you kill frances valves buildings are gonna get razed by annoyed biker gangs etc
