Over the decades that Jeopardy has been running, there have been a wide variety of categories at play. Most recently, gamers were treated to something nice, as an entire category on the latest episode of Jeopardy was dedicated to video games and the new PS5. Reading the clues for these questions was none other than J.D. Witherspoon. All of the questions in the category were correctly answered by the players, and fans of Witherspoon and Jeopardy alike have been loving his guest appearance on the iconic show.

Each question in the "Gamer's Delight" category is given a dollar value, and the higher value questions are supposed to be harder than those with lower values. This is mostly true in this case, although some might argue that certain questions were easier than others. The short category focuses heavily on the PS5, but also touches on other subjects like Pac-Man.

Players can watch the video below to see each of these questions in action. For a bit of fun, pause the video after each question is asked and try and guess the answer. Knowing that the Jeopardy contestants aren't all avid gamers, there are some clues to the answer sprinkled out in the question that have nothing to do with the video games themselves. Even so, it's nice to see questions like this on such a high profile show like Jeopardy, as it helps bring the world of gaming to those that might not know much about it otherwise.

For $200, contestants are asked about Astro's Playroom, which came preloaded onto every PS5 as a way of showing off the unique capabilities of the console. The $400 question for this category goes further back into gaming history, and talks about the conception of Pac-Man. Vying for $600, contestants are tasked with determining who Ratchet's companion is in Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart. The $800 question throws contestants for a loop, asking for information about Destruction All-Stars. Finally, for $1000, contestants are tasked with identifying the PS5's Solid State Drive as the reason why it is able to load games so quickly.

Fan reaction to these questions is mostly positive, with many simply happy to see both Witherspoon and gaming related questions on Jeopardy. All things considered, the contestants did quite well answering these questions as well, so gamers didn't have to sit and cringe as they struggled with finding the answer. Witherspoon has indicated that he would like to return to Jeopardy someday for another round of "Gamer's Delight."

The PS5 is available now.
