Just hours after the revelation that The Last Guardian would be coming later this year, Sony's long-awaited Team Ico title's collector's edition contents are made public.

It has been a weird year for fans of The Last Guardian. After it was revealed at Sony's last E3 presentation, gamers still weren't sure what to expect from the title during Sony's E3 2016 conference yesterday. That's because those invested in The Last Guardian have been anxiously awaiting its release for the better part of a decade now, and it's that kind of fan support that prevented The Last Guardian from getting cancelled during its worst years in development.

Luckily, things finally seem to be moving forward for one of the most anticipated games ever announced. Sony's presentation unveiled a brand new trailer for the title, but even more importantly, Team Ico has finally been able to give The Last Guardian an official release date. With gamers now able to plan around purchasing a title that has seemed more ethereal than real, a new Amazon listing has cropped up that will excite fans of The Last Guardian even more - there's a collector's edition, and it contains a statue of the game's iconic character.

Judging from the Amazon listing, The Last Guardian Collector's Edition will be packaged into a wooden crate that looks like it was ripped straight out of a mid-2000s dungeon crawler. The game itself will be carefully protected by a premium steelbook case, and the rest of the box will contain a 72-page art book, a Last Guardian-themed sticker sheet perfect for console decals, and a digital soundtrack. Oh, and The Last Guardian Collector's Edition will also come with a large, detailed statue of Trico, curled up sound asleep next to his boy.

Of course, all of that loot is going to set gamers back a bit more than a normal edition - The Last Guardian Collector's Edition will run for $119.99 USD, compared to the standard game's $79.99 USD retail price. As far as collector's editions go, The Last Guardian seems pretty reasonable in an industry that just recently released a Final Fantasy 15 Ultimate Collector's Edition for $270 USD.

The close to $120 price tag shouldn't be a problem for gamers who started saving for The Last Guardian when it was first announced, either - fans would have needed to set aside just 3 cents a day at this point to have the collector's edition covered.

The Last Guardian is a PS4 exclusive that will release on October 25, 2016.
